Nice flying! I just picked one up and will be tinkering with the power system. I'm glad to hear the aileron flutter wasn't too much of a concern. Mine will likely be pushing 450W and should scoot pretty good. Hopefully she'll land as cleanly as yours!
mine too. today I was way up under the clouds and I dove at full throttle(480brushless 2250 rhino). I started to hear that flutter and backed off. Is there a way to correct this tendency? also, I've heard that the funtana is snappy, but mine isn't giving me any trouble. In fact, I'm sorry they're discontinuing it, because it's a great flier. Have you flown the mini pulse? Eflite makes outstanding planes in my opinion.
I don't think you can really correct anything. The planes are so light and the control surfaces are so large I think you just have to be really conscious of your throttle position. My friend has the mini pulse, its a lot of fun to fly. It has small control surfaces so you can pretty much fly that thing full throttle in any attitude. He's also had the mini funtana, mini showtime, and brio. I have the mini ultra stick. The ultra stick and pulse aren't 3D so you might get bored
yeah, I like wide ailerons. I may have to get one of these Extra 260s. I just flew my extra 300S(OS90)yesterday. Man, it ripped through the air. 58" wingspan. floating lander
The Immelman turn was named after a WWI german fighter ace, Max Immelman. Flying along with some good speed, you put the airplane into a vertical climb, and then continue to pull back so that the airplane is now inverted and headed the opposite direction. Then just roll the airplane back over. I took it a little farther so the plane went into a dive. Watch the throttle with this plane when in nose low attitudes its easy to overspeed the airframe and rip the control surfaces off.
thanks....it seems like it has enough power to rip the control surfaces off if you're not careful with the throttle in nose low attitudes....just something to be aware of if you're planning on doing this.....no tricks to the motor though....just screw it on
oh yeah i flew it today it will go straight up for a good 300ft, im using the stock parkzone 9x5 prop that came with the t-28 how much of a difference would a 10x5 make?
I have both a parkzone t-28 and a Hobbyzone Super Cub that I have put E-flite Power 10's in. They will both rip the wings off. I strongly recommend reinforcing the wings with Carbon Fiber. An 11x7 Prop seems to make this motor perform the best.

hi just got one of these planes, is the aileron fluttering a big problem and is there any way to stop it ?
peterm8133 2 years ago
The fluttering isnt a problem at all..........just don't point it at the ground with the throttle up

my funtana x has a 480 and at about 3/4 throttle the ailerons start to flutter if i were to keep goin it owuld rip the ailerons off

whoa that is pretty quick, i just bought a power 10 and a 40 amp esc that i put on a parkzone t28 trojan going to take it up tommorow

that T-28 is gonna be silly fast

Continuous Current is 30A. The Burst Current is 38A (15 sec). I get about six to ten minutes of flight depending on throttle management.
JBattaile 3 years ago
Thats some power - what is the current draw and do you only get 3min flights with a 2070 battery?
