I'm trying to decide between MSI GT780DXR and Asus G74SX. I was almost convinced to go with MSI because of better speakers, matte screen and slightly better graphics card, but today I got a mail from the dealer that he'd recommend the Asus because of lower malfuction risk of the Asus laptops, better cooling and higher quality of materials. So I'm back to square one, especially since in your review the MSI looks better for me ;)
@GZas Do you realize that we are ASUS and MSI dealers? ASUS does run a bit cooler, but that is only relative. Lower malfunction...not true. Higher quality materials...not true. Sounds like salesman hype to me.
While I am looking for a laptop that will play games easily (I won't be playing often but I don't want to run into any issues when I do), the thing I do the most on my computer is listen to music. So in that case, this review has me convinced that I should go with MSI. The shallow part of me doesn't care for all the curves around the corners of it, though. But I think I can live with that particular dislike.
ASUS HAS MORE QUALITY AND EXPERIENCE THAN MSI AND DE 3D MARKS SCORE DEPENDS OF WHAT YOU HAVE RUNNING ON MEMORY OR INSTALED, IT LOOKS LIKE A TOY DE MSI COMPARED TO THE ASUS. JAJA
@Edouardrc666 No, neither would be true. The palm rest and keyboard areas stay comfortable and would not warm your hands no matter how cold they might be. It is also not noisy.
great review, but seriously do you have to repeat the model number of each laptop 5 times throughout the review? just gets somewhat annoying we know what we are looking at.
Great review. I don't understand why the Asus never released a RAID for it as it is a big compromise IMO. Although I think the MSI laptop seems like a better contender in better features however the 20 deg C difference in the cooling makes the Asus a clear winner. I say this because many laptops with powerful dedicated GPU's die from excessive heat over time. With the audio, if you are buying a 4Kg brick like these, most likely it will sit on ur desk and have ext speakers so it wont matter
@vinni928 The MSI is 20 degrees Celsius hotter when running Furmark, which will run your card harder than any game out there, but the ASUS runs unusually cool...so you can't really say that the MSI produces 'excessive' heat...it is at or below virtually any laptop out there except the ASUS.
Many laptops with powerful GPUs die due to excessive heat "over time" hence I am speaking in general and not for the MSI. The BGA solder in the GPU inherits dry joints hence fails.
Hey there, great review. Could I ask, on the screens, how does the colour quality compare on both laptops? Do they output dark scenes well? Are edges well defined and sharp?
In short how do both screens compare in aspects listed above?
@ShadowPony064 The MSI comes with a Matte screen while the ASUS comes with a glossy screen and they are both well above average, but if you want the best screen upgrade to the 90% NTSC Color Gamut Glossy LCD (AU OB173HW01 V4) which will blow you away with the vivid colors, black blacks, brighter with better contrast and viewing angles.
@PowerNotebooks Thank you for your reply. I am glad to see you offer world worldwide shipping. Where could I get a quote to see the price to ship to Melbourne/Australia?

This is the best comparison video I have ever seen. Very Detailed. Very Nice. One of the main reasons it is good is you leave it open. You decide. If you said you like one better the video would have more than 7 dislikes as of 2/14/12. I couldn't decide what to buy. I am going to get an MSI an upgrade it on xoticpc.com to get a better fan, processor and will have a better gaming card. May go with glossy not sure most like will leave it at matte. All in all they are both beast motebooks.

Great review, though I don't think you went in-depth enough of how superb these keyboards are relative to other laptops. The msi has a steelseries keyboard that is specially layed out for gaming, as well as having 10 key rollover, which is better than most gaming keyboards. The asus is specifically tilted 20 degrees to make the keyboard put less strain on the wrist, making typing better than just about anything else out there.
@h0rnytoad1 Like I said, it shouldn't be that noisy, unless you are super sensitive to it. You should not be able to hear it at idle unless you put your ear next to the exhaust vent. Have you contacted your vendor's tech support about this issue? Where did you buy it?
@PowerNotebooks i bought it at a retail store, its loud enough that me sitting 3 feet away i can hear it louder than a tall summer fan in the room when idle, its not a question of sensitivity its just windy lol
@h0rnytoad1 Do you know where your Turbo Fan switch is on the Power Strip above the keyboard? Make sure it is not lit, and if it is lit, touch it to turn it off.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, call MSI Tech Support.
@PowerNotebooks yeah its off trust me, and when it is on, oh boy you have no idea lol the rpm on this thing is pretty high at idle and msi afterburner or speedfan. can't change it. only thing i can see is to change the fan and with luck it'll be silent or have 3 wires so i can control it. pretty sure only the card handles the rpm's and i think the curve is too low. my idle temps are at 38c and same for the cpu , when i turn on the cooler boost button, i can hardly hear myself think lol
@PowerNotebooks yes its off the fan rarely goes completely silent even when the laptop is idle. when it does it's nice but it doesn't last. my idling temps are 36c for vga and 40c for the cpu. idk if these are your idle temps but they're pretty good, the fan should not go that fast. if there was a way to adjust the fan curve with msi afterburner, but i doubt it especially *if* the fan only has 2 wires for power, which i don't know i don't want to void my warranty.
@PowerNotebooks thanks but what i ended up doing is using the power saving power profile in win7, then set the cpu max speed at 30%. and the cooling solution to passive. then when i want to game i just punch it up to the normal power profile. Power saving makes the cpu run cooler so the fan runs lower. it is super duper muscle laptops hehe you don't expect a muscle car to be quiet much, same for laptops. the graphics are amazing and the gtx570m in it just blazes through everything.
hey man excellent comparison, nice job ! i have the msi gt780dxr-279us its a great gaming system but the only 2 things wrong with it 1st the vga cooler is so noisy i just can't leave it running even idle the fan goes crazy. my ears ring after turning it off. And the mic is under powered, in game my co-op buddies can't hear me too well. Other than that, it has great sound, great screen & mate is definitively the way to go. only thing:i'd love to swap its vga fan for the asus fan cooling system
@PowerNotebooks no its all stock, but i tried msi afterburner and i can't play with the fan speeds. so it must be one of them cheapo 2 wire fans. like i said, i want to change the fan but i don't know of any aftermarket coolers that arctic cooling or the others would fit on it.
@KingWaltsu both system are the same cpu and vidcard so its just a matter of preference at this point. Perso the sound on the msi is far superior but the cooling system on the asus is quieter. the audio is as good on the laptop as my stand alone creative 4.1 surround system with subwoofer, tho the subwoofer is a laptop mini sub so obviously not as strong compared to the creative of course.
@anthonyagren The MSI GT780 has the stronger video card so it will be best for gaming. MSI also just released the GT783 with the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 256bit w/2.0GB GDDR5 which is even stronger :o)
@Veliotic I think you're right if i wait too long then surely i dont get one but i think i could easily run games for few years with this performance.
@TheEsaful The video card does most of the work in gaming, but the Quad Core CPU will do better in those games written for Quads which will be more and more games over time.
@TheEsaful So far, games only use 1 or at most 2 cores. Therefore, gaming-wise, less cores and higher single core performance is much more important than more cores.
so i think i gonna pick the msi, this was an important information for me!
but what you mean with "... for the most ssds" .... so you think ill have this problem (error message at startup) or do you say it wont happen (i know it cant be out of question, but i ask what u mean exactly with that sentence) :D
sry for not understanding it, english isnt my native language!
@KillahDiablo What I meant is that SSD's should not be a problem, we have installed literally hundreds of them in the MSI GT780. However since I don't know what SSD that one fellow was using I cannot know whether the problem was with the SSD itself.
ok so if u say there are generally no problems with it, maybe that guy was unlucky, or - what i dont hope - some "bad meant" advertising of another company ^^ ..... was a shop-review of the gt680 or 83 i think, but i cant find it anymore....
ill go with the msi, cause of the cooler features (i only say keyboard :D) and better graphics, and so it looks better (in my opinion)
Stay uploading such cool vids i sadly cant order at your shop but i would if im in the us! :D
somewhere i read about the gpu is placed on special sockets (cant remember the name sry) on the msi, so u can easily upgrade it later.... is it the same used in the asus?????
would you say, the msi is the better choice - there is an option with the gtx570m 3gb(120 gb SSD).... costs about 100$ more than the asus (gtx560 3gb, 160gb SSD)....... its a hard decision, cause i like to play loong and i like the cooling system of the asus, but msi got some real cool features
@KillahDiablo The MSI uses MXM video card technology which allows the video card to just plug in. ASUS has the video card integrated into the motherboard.
The ASUS does run 'cooler' but that is relative. You can play the MSI non-stop for hours with zero heating issues.
The temperature of msi is too high. But it may be because it was put on a soft surface. The cloth made less air was pumped from bottom. G74 got fresh air from the holes near speaker. So it works fine.
@mithrasn In no way is the temperature too high. Keep in mind we are running Furmark, which pushes the video card harder than any game could, and it still stays almost 20 degrees Celsius below the shut down temperature.
@PowerNotebooks Also, did you make sure the fan settings were on max? I know the MSI has custom fan options. Asus G series, atleast the ones I have owned do not have that option. That could also make a difference, the MSI seems considerably louder.
Hey PowerNoteBooks whats up, I was wondering if you could put the Asus G74sx vs Alienware M17x r3 or M18x, which ever one you can get. That would be a great video because a lot of forums are fighting over Asus vs Alienware. If you could make a vs video on that, you all would get a lot of hits
@dudewheresmydvd Call us Toll Free at 1-877-711-1777 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday to discuss your needs and the best options to meet them.
@dudewheresmydvd We are way too busy right now to do any videos, but we will do a shootout with the MSI GT783R, ASUS G74SX-DH71 and Alienware M17X after the first of the year. Of course comparing an nVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 256bit w/2.0GB GDDR5 to an nVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 192bit w/1.5GB GDDR5 will be no contest. The interesting comparison will be between the MSI GT783R and the Alienware M17X.
I am a budding journalist/freelance writer headed for college soon, so the overall design of the ASUS, with its improved ergonomic keyboard layout (amongst other things) is more appealing personally.
Honestly, it seems the only major advantage the MSI has here is the sound system, though the video stated that the ASUS' speakers were (I quote) "above average".
What'll it be? Is there another computer I haven't seen yet? Should I wait?
@DeguGamingNetwork As a journalist you don't need anything like these laptops, they are more for the hard core gamer. Give me a Toll Free call at 1-877-711-1777 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Pacific Time Monday through Friday and let's discuss all of your uses for a laptop and I will help guide you into the one that is right for you.
I do count myself a gamer, hardcore or otherwise. I was just naming a few other deciding factors that would help to support my decision with whatever product I end up choosing.
Said product will need to be not only my gaming platform (I have a PS3, and am currently using a Toshiba Satellite, but neither really have the "umph" that I 'm looking for), but my working platform as well.
@PowerNotebooks Ok so say that I bought the model that offers me the custom made MSI GT780DX that comes with the nVIDIA GTX 570M , if for any reason I am not satisfied with this graphics card am I able to upgrade the graphics card to a nVIDIA GTX 580?
@Sobored203 Not at this time...but...don't be surprised to see the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 256bit w/2.0GB GDDR5 available on the MSI GT780DX in January.
@Eternalgameplayer If you are as your name suggests, and avid gamer, I would wait for the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M 256bit w/2.0GB GDDR5 which will be available in a very limited supply next week. We will have it up on our website by Saturday night. PowerNotebooks-dot-com
@PowerNotebooks Are you not able to upgrade the video card on the MSI, because you mentioned everything else except the video card so was just wondering
@Sobored203 Anyone that tells you the GPU is upgradeable beyond whatever is currently being offered (that is upgradeable to something that does not yet exist, or that does exist but is not offered with that model) is leading you down the wrong path by telling you what they know you would like to hear. The bottom line is you cannot upgrade your video card with something stronger that is in existence now.
@Sobored203 (e.g. if only the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 192bit w/1.5GB GDDR5 is offered on a particular model, you cannot upgrade to the GTX 485M or GTX 580M in that model). Nor can you count on being able to upgrade to a next generation card that does not exist now. While that could be theoretically possible, it almost never is, and no one can know for sure until it exists and can be tested successfully.
@PowerNotebooks Ok, then I guess that leads me to my next question: What kind of lasting power do these have? Because as it is, it feels like my GTX 460 is getting outdated.
@MH5tube New technology is introduced about every 9 months, so you just have to be prepared for that. If you want the highest end laptop video card go to our website and look at the Sager NP728x series, the Sager NP8180, the Sager NP8150 and the Sager NP8170, and the Alienware M17X and Alienware M18X .
@Zlykin That is the way the President of ASUS teaches people the correct pronunciation. His direct quote is..."stick out your tongue and say Ahhhh, then think of Dr. Seuss." So, now you have the memo.
@PowerNotebooks Ah, I see. I didnt know that the president of the company explained the pronunciation. Ive only ever heard consumers talk about this company, I guess. Well, you know, old habits die hard.
For me the MSI wing because it costs less, have more warranty, more RAM and a really cool keyboard. The sound does not matter to me. The 720p Webcam is also a nice thing.
asus WAS a winner, not anymore with the release of GT780 with GTX570M models! and rumors about releasing GT780 with GTX580M in mid-dec! so asus is out of the question and will only remain as an entry level "gaming" laptops!
@jetpack1986 asus never won this battle. MSI had better scores from the start. Not to mention other things that don't really contribute to performance, but make the laptop nicer to use.
i think asus wins simply due to the superb cooling system, although i wouldn't mind having an msi laptop like that with all the extra cosmetic features
@sundeathy The temps in MSI were higher because MSI prefers keeping the system quieter than ASUS. They would've had the same temps with the touch of a button if they pressed the turbo fan button, boosting the fan to the top speed.
I've been dying to get an asus g series for their stealth design (aerospace engineering major ftw!) But after watching this video, i'm really leaning to purchase the msi instead...
@BlueBlach connecting USB 3.0 HDDs and SSDs. I have a USB 3.0 1TB HDD, and I found that speeds can reach almost 3x faster than the HDD in USB 2.0 ports. Even in USB 2.0, it reaches 25MB/s, but a normal USB 2.0 HDD normally reaches a max of 10. USB 3.0 is so much better for this. Not to mention charging devices much faster.
@Jor4an89 Hmm, well, not really. There won't be any difference in the 3GB DDR5 vs 1.5GB DDR5. The only way to see a difference is if a user was exporting onto a 30"+ screen with higher resolution than FULL HD (1920x1080). In 3D mode there will be a difference, theoretically up to a 10 frame difference. In 3D rendering there may also be a difference but for most geeks who are just playing games natively on the panel there will be no gain.
@PowerNotebooks Ah touche. I think the ASUS is better for my personal needs; where sound and aesthetics aren't very important. During your comparison did you find that the cooling in the ASUS allowed it to overclock the cpu for longer than the MSI? Or is it unlikely even in cpu intensive applications that cooling would be an issue for either notebook?
@Jor4an89 Unfortunately you cannot overclock the CPU on most laptops, and these are no exception. However heat is not an issue with either one, no matter how hard you stress the CPU.
@PowerNotebooks Wait what? The whole point of having the i7 2920XM or any extreme edition/K series processor is to overclock. So both these systems have no options in the bios to overclock? Instant fail, brb, Sager....
@PowerNotebooks Lots of designers go for gaming laptops because of spechs, so In programs that are visally demanding like photoshop or after effects, ther will deffinatley be a notble difference
@Jor4an89 but if you watched the full vid, you will see that the MSI 780 actually got higher scores in 3D Mark, and has RAID 0 nearly doubling the HDD speeds. Also, it's lighter, has better battery life, has better speakers, and has a nice matte screen. Since I'm in US, I also get better warranty and support with MSI. One more thing. MSI 780DXR is a version of this laptop with the 570M, which is much faster than ASUS's, who don't have a 570M version. MSI 780 wins for me.
@Illmatic662 EXACTLY the same thought here!!! MSI GT780DXR has the GPU: 570M!! with ofcourse the quad core intel processor. So will I get for the same money, a reliable Asus with 560M? or MSI GT780DXR with 570M, can't choose!
@BlackElite123 I just bought the MSI roughly a week ago (Hasn't shipped though...) Let me tell you why........Listen......Matte Screen vs Glossy, 5 USB Ports vs 4, Better audio system, Better GPU, and better warranty. When you think of it critically the MSI really is the better choice.
@Illmatic662 I have chosen my laptop, it isnt Asus and it isnt MSI, well sort of.
It's the VERY new Medion x7813 Laptop with a quad core processor (2670qm). And gtx560m video card, it's less than the 570m the GT683dx(r) has I know but I save € 500,- on this with the medion build. And I wanted a 17" laptop, not a 15,6"
Can play every game on high settings not on ultra as on the 570M, I don't need that, I want a laptop that can play medium/high settings
If that doesn't resolve the issue, call MSI Tech Support.
PowerNotebooks 1 month ago
@PowerNotebooks yeah its off trust me, and when it is on, oh boy you have no idea lol the rpm on this thing is pretty high at idle and msi afterburner or speedfan. can't change it. only thing i can see is to change the fan and with luck it'll be silent or have 3 wires so i can control it. pretty sure only the card handles the rpm's and i think the curve is too low. my idle temps are at 38c and same for the cpu , when i turn on the cooler boost button, i can hardly hear myself think lol
h0rnytoad1 1 month ago
@PowerNotebooks yes its off the fan rarely goes completely silent even when the laptop is idle. when it does it's nice but it doesn't last. my idling temps are 36c for vga and 40c for the cpu. idk if these are your idle temps but they're pretty good, the fan should not go that fast. if there was a way to adjust the fan curve with msi afterburner, but i doubt it especially *if* the fan only has 2 wires for power, which i don't know i don't want to void my warranty.
h0rnytoad1 1 month ago
@PowerNotebooks thanks but what i ended up doing is using the power saving power profile in win7, then set the cpu max speed at 30%. and the cooling solution to passive. then when i want to game i just punch it up to the normal power profile. Power saving makes the cpu run cooler so the fan runs lower. it is super duper muscle laptops hehe you don't expect a muscle car to be quiet much, same for laptops. the graphics are amazing and the gtx570m in it just blazes through everything.
h0rnytoad1 1 month ago
hey man excellent comparison, nice job ! i have the msi gt780dxr-279us its a great gaming system but the only 2 things wrong with it 1st the vga cooler is so noisy i just can't leave it running even idle the fan goes crazy. my ears ring after turning it off. And the mic is under powered, in game my co-op buddies can't hear me too well. Other than that, it has great sound, great screen & mate is definitively the way to go. only thing:i'd love to swap its vga fan for the asus fan cooling system

@h0rnytoad1 Hmm, your VGA fan shouldn't be that loud. Do you have Turbo Fan on when you are idling?
As for the mic, they are rarely very good on laptops...I would recommend a good headset and you will ROCK it!
PowerNotebooks 1 month ago

@KillahDiablo Probably an isolated problem for most SSD's.
PowerNotebooks 1 month ago
@PowerNotebooks thx for the very FAST reply!!!
so i think i gonna pick the msi, this was an important information for me!
but what you mean with "... for the most ssds" .... so you think ill have this problem (error message at startup) or do you say it wont happen (i know it cant be out of question, but i ask what u mean exactly with that sentence) :D
sry for not understanding it, english isnt my native language!
i cant said thx enough, so here one more time ^^
peace
KillahDiablo 1 month ago
@KillahDiablo What I meant is that SSD's should not be a problem, we have installed literally hundreds of them in the MSI GT780. However since I don't know what SSD that one fellow was using I cannot know whether the problem was with the SSD itself.
PowerNotebooks 1 month ago
@PowerNotebooks ok thx again
ok so if u say there are generally no problems with it, maybe that guy was unlucky, or - what i dont hope - some "bad meant" advertising of another company ^^ ..... was a shop-review of the gt680 or 83 i think, but i cant find it anymore....
ill go with the msi, cause of the cooler features (i only say keyboard :D) and better graphics, and so it looks better (in my opinion)
Stay uploading such cool vids i sadly cant order at your shop but i would if im in the us! :D
KillahDiablo 1 month ago
somewhere i read about the gpu is placed on special sockets (cant remember the name sry) on the msi, so u can easily upgrade it later.... is it the same used in the asus?????
would you say, the msi is the better choice - there is an option with the gtx570m 3gb(120 gb SSD).... costs about 100$ more than the asus (gtx560 3gb, 160gb SSD)....... its a hard decision, cause i like to play loong and i like the cooling system of the asus, but msi got some real cool features
PLZ HELP ME
KillahDiablo 1 month ago
@KillahDiablo The MSI uses MXM video card technology which allows the video card to just plug in. ASUS has the video card integrated into the motherboard.
The ASUS does run 'cooler' but that is relative. You can play the MSI non-stop for hours with zero heating issues.

The temperature of msi is too high. But it may be because it was put on a soft surface. The cloth made less air was pumped from bottom. G74 got fresh air from the holes near speaker. So it works fine.
mithrasn 2 months ago
@mithrasn In no way is the temperature too high. Keep in mind we are running Furmark, which pushes the video card harder than any game could, and it still stays almost 20 degrees Celsius below the shut down temperature.
PowerNotebooks 2 months ago
@PowerNotebooks Also, did you make sure the fan settings were on max? I know the MSI has custom fan options. Asus G series, atleast the ones I have owned do not have that option. That could also make a difference, the MSI seems considerably louder.

Hey PowerNoteBooks whats up, I was wondering if you could put the Asus G74sx vs Alienware M17x r3 or M18x, which ever one you can get. That would be a great video because a lot of forums are fighting over Asus vs Alienware. If you could make a vs video on that, you all would get a lot of hits

What should I buy?
I am a budding journalist/freelance writer headed for college soon, so the overall design of the ASUS, with its improved ergonomic keyboard layout (amongst other things) is more appealing personally.
Honestly, it seems the only major advantage the MSI has here is the sound system, though the video stated that the ASUS' speakers were (I quote) "above average".
What'll it be? Is there another computer I haven't seen yet? Should I wait?
I would be most grateful for sugges

I do count myself a gamer, hardcore or otherwise. I was just naming a few other deciding factors that would help to support my decision with whatever product I end up choosing.

PowerNotebooks 2 months ago
@PowerNotebooks Are you not able to upgrade the video card on the MSI, because you mentioned everything else except the video card so was just wondering
Sobored203 3 months ago
@Sobored203 Anyone that tells you the GPU is upgradeable beyond whatever is currently being offered (that is upgradeable to something that does not yet exist, or that does exist but is not offered with that model) is leading you down the wrong path by telling you what they know you would like to hear. The bottom line is you cannot upgrade your video card with something stronger that is in existence now.
PowerNotebooks 3 months ago
@Sobored203 (e.g. if only the nVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M 192bit w/1.5GB GDDR5 is offered on a particular model, you cannot upgrade to the GTX 485M or GTX 580M in that model). Nor can you count on being able to upgrade to a next generation card that does not exist now. While that could be theoretically possible, it almost never is, and no one can know for sure until it exists and can be tested successfully.

@jetpack1986 asus never won this battle. MSI had better scores from the start. Not to mention other things that don't really contribute to performance, but make the laptop nicer to use.

@sundeathy The temps in MSI were higher because MSI prefers keeping the system quieter than ASUS. They would've had the same temps with the touch of a button if they pressed the turbo fan button, boosting the fan to the top speed.

BlueBlach 3 months ago
@BlueBlach connecting USB 3.0 HDDs and SSDs. I have a USB 3.0 1TB HDD, and I found that speeds can reach almost 3x faster than the HDD in USB 2.0 ports. Even in USB 2.0, it reaches 25MB/s, but a normal USB 2.0 HDD normally reaches a max of 10. USB 3.0 is so much better for this. Not to mention charging devices much faster.

Wow I can't believe this video was about exactly those two computers I'm (gnawing my fingers down) choosing between right now :)
Well I can believe it - it was just too good to expect!
Currently in Sweden:

Asus G74SX with GTX 560M and the (very slightly) slightly better i7-2670QM costs about 1000 euro! O.o
Some minor differences from the specs in this video I think.
Asus sure has great value per money!

PowerNotebooks 4 months ago 8
@PowerNotebooks Ah touche. I think the ASUS is better for my personal needs; where sound and aesthetics aren't very important. During your comparison did you find that the cooling in the ASUS allowed it to overclock the cpu for longer than the MSI? Or is it unlikely even in cpu intensive applications that cooling would be an issue for either notebook?
Jor4an89 4 months ago
@Jor4an89 Unfortunately you cannot overclock the CPU on most laptops, and these are no exception. However heat is not an issue with either one, no matter how hard you stress the CPU.
PowerNotebooks 4 months ago
@PowerNotebooks Wait what? The whole point of having the i7 2920XM or any extreme edition/K series processor is to overclock. So both these systems have no options in the bios to overclock? Instant fail, brb, Sager....

Also good luck with your awesome laptop!
