You are missing the death from the black wizard near the beginning of the game. He can weaken you and he can also kill you if already weakened.

I see you used the Halcyone version of the game. Mine was the arcade. I still have the Halcyon sys and Thayer's Quest game, but my controller is broken. :( Emulation FTW.

@bloodrunsclear Yeah, broken sword on the Wii was awesome but they took out the death scenes. I don't know why the gba version had them.

I suppose being stuck at the bridge prevents you from completing your quest, similar to the very first clip or the clip where the lizardmen get you. In each case, although you're not strictly dead, the game gives you a "You have died" screen.

@CrankyTemplar the bridge duty looked like a clever trap!  The man who was freed must have been happy, afterward. Too bad that Thayer was trapped!
