hehe i love Sandwich, i go fishing there all the time and have done for over 25 years now. Its a great place and mostly unspoilt. Im fishing there all of this weekend, friday until sunday night, i now take (like my parents did me) my kids there to feed the ducks and things and play in the parks which for some reason do not seem to be dominated by loads of spotty trouble making teens so much as here where i live in margate. Anyway a great place, nice video 5*s.
There is indeed! The names comes from Sandwic, meaning Sand Village. It was the fourth Earl of Sandwich, who in 1762, first called some meat between two slices of bread a "Sandwich" when he was gambling in London.
lovely place but a bit short on parking near the centre of town........
