Great video. I have already came to the conclusion that the schools belong to the corporations and we will home school as well.

Thank you. I can absolutely understand where you are coming from. It's only a matter of time before the same people that are in the prison business will be in the education business.
Good for you for home schooling. I wish more Parents could do that. And do it as a community endeavor. We need schools that are open past 3:30 p.m.. And that are open on the week-end. High schools should have shifts IMHO so students don't have to drop out in order to work.
We must do something! NOW!

Peace. Thank you for the Wisdom on CONFLICT RESOLUTION. Very good points! Also VERY good point about parents needing to get involved in the schooling process. It doesn't make sense for so many of our parents to sit back and expect the school to completely educate the children. The purpose of school is to indoctrinate moreso than to educate. Taking responsibility is the final answer. Peace.

You are so very welcom. I was fortunate enough to be invovlved in a program out of the Center for Human Development in the Bay Area where we implimented a simular program with high school students mentoring Jr. High students on alcohol and other drug use. Part of the ciriculim involved conflict res as a tool to deal with stressors that put youth at high risk for using. The Jr. High students loved the attention of the high schoolers. They (the high schoolers) did an awesome job.

In short, NJ is a pitiful example of the failure to adapt to change. Not putting the Funds where HUGE NEEDS R. Teachers in the "Burbs" teach Kids how to pass TESTS! Classwork has become "Homework". They need good #'s to LOOK GOOD in ratings & for Fed/State funds. 97% go to Colleges, COSTLY ones. If a parent asked to "Sit In" on a class, it would take a Lawyer! Would be an INSULT!Seniors "Mentor" Freshman, most to look good on college apps.6 mi.away are Urban failing/falling apart schools! Sick!
