It is sinful to compare the glory of God to corruptible man.

See, Romans 1, KJV. However, I do not see that here in

this movie, for rather than being a movie about Jesus, it is

a movie about an actor attempting to put on a Passion Play

(about the last few days of Jesus on the earth) and how he

and others approach the subject of religion and Christianity.

It is like watching children put on a school play during Christmas

time... I miss watching these kinds of movies at university.

If everybody was a general, where would the soldiers be found?.. But he is an actor.

So, WWJD does make sense from a method actor's perspective. And so the comedy

begins, for as he attempts to "get into character" the same things that happened to

Jesus seem to happen to him. He gets into trouble with the law. And Irene Jacob's

character begins to come across as Mary Magdalene. It was funny waiting to see

how and when he would toss the moneychangers out of the temple, "in real life".

Ignore the trailer. That is not what this movie is about. This movie is a

comedy about method actors attempting to put on a Passion Play, for various

reasons, aside from vanity and a need to pay bills. He is a method actor, and

so decides to attempt to get into character by practising the maxim WWJD...

And therein lies the comedy. For the movie shows the silliness of WWJD

compared to asking, What does Jesus command us to do.
