This exact guitar sound, this guitarist, were hidden away in some of Ray Conniff's earliest recordings in the late 50s because CONNIFF knew they were fantastic, too ! ! ! Thanks for this video
i was just five yrs old when i know and sang this version of "besame mucho" my dad love to hear those romantic instrumental guitar and we have that LP of tony mottolla"s instrumental song keep it up apmech ur so wonderful to have this kind of sharing to ohter people thank you
These classic NY city session guitarists were some of the greatest musicians we will ever have in this country. Many are forgotten now in the R@R guitar world of today, but Mottola, Caiola and the others are the true instrumentalists who understood all facets of music and recording and musical class that is not prevelant today. I never tire of hearing them. What a master Mottola was.
This is dad's personal favorite, in fact, we sung this on his funeral. We grew up with Trio Los Panchos version so we know the lyrics, and I was singing it while listening to this. The is is the most beautiful version, and I am going to look for Tony Mottola's CD, sana meron pa. TY again, ampech. Bless your good heart.
thanks again princezinday...sorry to hear about your dad... the last time I checked ebay for Mottola, they only have used LP of "mexico s.a., not cd...My uncle fom PI gave me the same one and asked me to to convert it to cd but I have not done it yet...
