And they ticket you for doing 15 over the limit on a road designed for 20 over the limit here, too.

time has changed.. now it is NOT so easy to bribe a cop in Croatia (i know because I live in Split,CROATIA) , but Bosnia is heaven for that. The bosnia cop caught me driving 113km/h where the limit was 40 km/h and I just gave him 100kunas(=14 Euro) and everything was solved...hehehehe

If you're speeding more than 40km/h here (netherlands) you go to court and the height of the fine is decided by a judge. 50+: lose your licence for a while, 100+: probably lose your car! so 100 euro's is way below nothing, really sick!

time has changed.. now it is NOT so easy to bribe a cop in Croatia (i know because I live in Split,CROATIA) , but Bosnia is heaven for that. The bosnia cop caught me driving 113km/h where the limit was 40 km/h and I just gave him 100kunas(=14 Euro) and everything was solved...hehehehe

If the cops see you going 50km/h over the limit here in Ontario, Canada... don't stop.
Your car is automatically impounded for 7 days, driver's license gets suspended for a week, and a minimum fine of $2,000 with a maximum of $10,000 plus the impound fees to get your car back.
There is no distinction between street racing and speeding here as far as the law is concerned.

btw, I know it is not big difference because he was going to much over limit, but speed limit on Croatian highways is 130 km/h, but police tolerates 150-160 km/h, everything over that is punished.

No it was 130 km/h over limit... If you drive in my country (Croatia) 180 km/h cops will chase you, and you'll stay without driving licence. Believe me it's not awsome...

If you're speeding more than 40km/h here (netherlands) you go to court and the height of the fine is decided by a judge. 50+: lose your licence for a while, 100+: probably lose your car! so 100 euro's is way below nothing, really sick!

This was stupid. Coming with a lot of money to Hr to play some wild sherif and endanger people around you.
Try to get caught with even +50KMPH over the limit in any normal EU contry and you will be in a lot of trouble. In Italy interceptor drivers have the right to reposes your car untill you pay a FULL FINE (min is 1500eur).
In Switzerland they tolerate a fault from 5kmph. Just 5. If you are over it .... heh
