    Great opening to the song,

    Heartfelt.

  • ye that was not cool but hes still a nyd and I will always respect him and the others for that

  • @ifeelallright what did he do?!

  • @ifeelallright --what did he do?

  • Wow!!! Good to see David is keeping it real, by giving props to the grandmas across the world with his accessories.

    Way to go Dave!!!

    10% off for everybody!!

  • RIP. Arthur, Billy, Johnny and Jerry.

  • wow thanks

  • there's so much emotion in this song. it's awesome

  • the documentary about Arthur Kane is a must see

  • Years and years ago David JoHansen was asked when there might be a New York Dolls reunion.

David said: "When there's peace on Earth".

Johnny Thunders died and the only surviving Dolls -- David and Sylvain -- decided that something, anything, had to be done. And thus this tour.

Hats of to Syl and Dave for bringing the magic to a new live audience. It could never be a Dolls reunion proper, but it was something good and respectful and beautiful as it happened. Again.

  • Arthur was still alive at the time, too.

  • @Holdenon3 Morrisey is the one that got this great ball rolling.....They've never sounded better than the last 2-CD's. Amazing how no booze or heroin can improve a band, even after key members die....

  • RIP fallen Dolls.

  • It is really to bad man,he would have loved to record and tour again.

  • What else is there but this little piece of heaven.

  • rip

  • You can't put your arms around a memory.

    JT, JN, AK, BM: RIP.

  • hay hay hay. ;D M

  • Great song.

    New York Doll, Great movie.

  • first billy murcia, then johnny thunders, then arthur "killer" kane...

i wish the new york dolls werent plagued w/ misfortune and deaths...

  • You forgot Jerry Nolan.

  • Oh, this is so hard to listen to.. its so sad now that Johnny is gone. David looks like he's having a hard time singing this, he looks like hes about to cry. Rest In Eternal Peace Johnny.

  • "New York Doll" was very touching, and I'm sure this performance was very emotional for Kane, as it probably was for Johanson and the other remaining dolls.

  • they use JCM 800 head right?

  • when i see them in concert next, i'll trhow roses on the stage for johnny and arthur...

  • David Johansen sang with my brother's band, a few times, in the 1960's, back in Staten Island, NY. My brother played the drums.

They jammed in our house basement. David was a playful guy, back then, and I remember him always smiling (I was just a small kid). He was also nice to my mom, but when she wasn't looking he would playfully rub his knuckles on top of my other brother's head. Somebody had to -Lol

  • The version of Guns n' Roses is also really good!

  • Actually the only one who plays anything on that is Duff McKagen. He played each instrument at different times then mixed them together. Just something I thought you might find interesting.

  • Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks

  • LOVABLE!

  • Rest In Peace Arthur ill miss your old friend

  • i saw them in liverpool

    i nearly cried

was the best gig of my life

  • I repeat what Diva says. David and Sylvan are still there and

they played a marvellous concert in Strasbourg (France) in 2006. Greatest group . Personality is their main quality, they

are unique now after 22 years, when I first saw them in

'Bataclan' concert in Paris. David same incredible beautiful voice, Sylvain unique guitar and vocalist. Longing to see them again !

  • i agree with you 100% but sylvain uses a very simple guitar tecnquie but he is very nolagable in the rage time blues style tho oldely

  • Quality, for Johnny and Razzle, and all the great muscians who are wiv us or in our memories ....

  • The Dolls are the Dolls...they're still a great band even though they've suffered alot....RIP to Thunders, Nolan, Kane, and Billy Murcia!!!!

Dolls are on tour and they still rock...go see them!!!

  • That was beautiful. I love the New York Dolls. RIP Johnny.

  • The dolls are nothing without Thunders.

  • R.I.P. Thunders, Nolan and Kane.

  • rip thunders

  • in the doco what was the slow song played

  • This medley shows how Memory was pretty much a re-write of LPB. But Johnny probably wrote most of LPB... even though on the record it's credited solely DavidJo.

  • I saw The Dolls live last October and it was the best gig of my life, you could never guess how old Johansen is, his voice is better now than it was 30 years ago.

  • I wrote this song.

  • I lol´d

  • I think hes got a good voice and he looks cool and i like this song

  • Johansen looks so OLD! I can't believe he's still alive, I thought he'd be the first to go!

  • I know! I was watching a documentary about the dolls and that's what I said.

  • Sounds like the story Steve Jones tells like he sold about 10 different versions of thunders guitar all came with the same reassurance that this was the exact one man.

  • actually , i own the bass, nice try though to look cool, i will keep it and hand it down to my kids proably!

  • The roadie probably stole the bass guitar from Kane's cold dead hands!

  • Believe it or not, I am the owner of this bass Arthur Kane is playing, I bought it from NY Dolls roadie Andrew Burns, and I even have the pink w/ black dots strap! Such an honour!

    ------------------------------

vidalregals ,youre my hero what an honor ( congrats ) , athur was so pure , love he new york film , a truth goood soul and very funny as well

  • How cool is it that obtained Artie's bass! I'm a Thunderbird fan myself. And a friend of mine owns Johnny's white Vox Teardrop now (Mark 6 is the official model designation, I think).

  • rip arthur ,rip arthur j thunders , rip billy murcia and rip jerry fuckin nolan
