You need to sing live more, it doesn`t matter where or with whom. If you need to sing in the street in the Bowery for a penny a shit then do it. Believe me, it really makes a HUGE difference in the end.. A musician is not made by talent alone but by the energy of the audience. It`s why the Beatles, Elvis, ONJ got to the level they did. Frank Sinatra for example couldnt record unless he had an audience. He literally use to bring in a complete group of strangers off the street into the studio

If it's any concellation I can't hit the highs anymore, well at least not the ones in songs :) And I used to sing in choir and I could hit them all as well as the girls could. Maturation sucks. In my theory the more your voice sounds feminine the better. I don't like the bassy parts of vox/music.

This is one of my favorite Olivia songs. And please don't sell yourself short. If singing is your passion I'm sure you will get better until you are very happy with what comes out. Your vocal track sounds very similar to Olivia btw. The Olivia country influence shines through in many of her early songs until around the 'physical' mark,
