This comic is perfect, and its second on my list of best reads ever. Sadly, Jay discontinued BD in 2009 and moved onto Original Life, which is the story of the kids of some of the characters from Better Days. I say we have to convince Jay to put back most of the characters from Better Days into Original Life. Right now we've only seen Lucy, Fisk, Elizabeth, Tommy and Sheila. We don't know what happened to the others...
Now that I've finished the series and Original Life I still think you did a good job. It makes me feel, I guess, sentimental. The series itself was so imersive I remember it as if it were my own memories.

The song is still good even though Ja Rule isn't that great of a person.

I love Jay Naylor's work. I hate to read but once I saw Better Days, I was hooked. I read it in all at once from 12-7 am! I cried for days when it ended. I wish I was Fisk. I could relate to a lot. All of his adult catalogs that spin off are rely worth reading! Original Life is good too as well as its spin offs. I hope it never ends.

That's a turnoff for me as well. Here we have a comic that relies heavily on the dramatic writing, and what's the name of our main protagonist who has faced hardship after hardship, shaping him into the complex character that we see before us? Fish. :S *lol*

Fisk is the epitome of what everyone's life is. I can't think of any way that someone can't relate to him and his development of character was a pure masterpiece. I cried with a smile on my face after reading the final words of the final panel, "Thank you, and good night"

I was shocked when Fisk and Lucy have sex, but that build up their sibbling bond more better... I was afraid when Fisk joined the army due to that the artist might put in some sort of PTSD system, but it wasn't that much. Now there are two sequels to this and that they are Original Life and Breeding Bobbie that's with Persia.
Hehe no you got it wrong. Better days is the First, how Fisk and Lucy live through their life. This happend to be the best comic in all of the fandom. Jay Naylor is a wonderful comic maker and writer.
funny I watched this before the first time reading better days, and now I am back watching it the second time and reading the second time. I am getting something different out of the comic this time around, I have been reading into the political/ moral views more, some of them I can agree with, or my views seem to match but through different reasoning, if that makes sense. I love this comic.

About the Incest in this comic: Its a theme used in much Literature and its strengthens the characthers feelings and emothions against each other and serves quite a plottwist.

I think that you should mention that fisk and lucy are twins and that it was them doing it in that one scene, I always feel all sad when I read that part where lucy just can't sort through her fellings for him. You'd be surprised how many people go to this comic looking for yiff, but instead of being dissapointed, they're lured in the rich story and character development that they've ever seen out of a comic.
A friend of mine(girl) introduced me to this comic. As a guy, I thought it was gay, but I'd do anything to take back what I said.
I read chapters 1-23 in two days. Shit was SO cash.
Although depression quickly came when I now have to wait every week. :(
i was also introduced to the story through his porn and i dont know if i can ever go back to it the same way now after reading the story... it would feel like "pissing in front of a nun".. it was such a powerful experience... mere words are not enough to express the greatness of this comic and i wish it was much longer and Jay worked faster continuing it... thats too much to ask because of the great work he has done so far.
its tough to think... is it better when they were kids or not... well them being kids.. there was a lot more drama and weird things happening.. wile the older one is more out and about wile still having crazy things going on.. the only real issue i have is Fisk in the war/other stuff.. i wish he would jest stay home XD

Actually, Bobbie is Persia's mother and it's not a sequel. It's a side story about how she became pregnant with Persia in the first place.
The only 'sequel' to Better Days is Original Life.

admitted, beth's art looks better indeed, but then again better days is not MEANT to be graphicly extensive.
i believe that if the storyline is original, impressive, and the emotions realistic and well shown, there is no need to make it a second rembrandt!

this is one of my fav. comics online it has a wonderful story line with new scens and twists to it and i suggest that every one should read it though. i even showed it to a freind that wasnt a fur ad he loved it as well

and 1 thing i have seen from those who write comment's to they comic most think's it just another strange web comic but then they find a comic with great storyline well drawn and more.
but ofcouse here will always be some that hate this comic. and another thing it seem's many think jay naylor write his own feeling and mind through the charackter fisk but that's wrong.

ah btw when first saw the 2 first page's i thought this was crapp until i gave it a try ca. 2 month's later. then when i got into the comic i started 2 love it. and this comic is realy good it is a bit realistic, there is fun thing's in it an dit is well drawn. Go Jay Naylor!!! 5stars

You'd be surprised how many people go to this comic looking for yiff, but instead of being dissapointed, they're lured in the rich story and character development that they've ever seen out of a comic.
A friend of mine(girl) introduced me to this comic. As a guy, I thought it was gay, but I'd do anything to take back what I said.
I read chapters 1-23 in two days. Shit was SO cash.
Although depression quickly came when I now have to wait every week. :(

i was also introduced to the story through his porn and i dont know if i can ever go back to it the same way now after reading the story... it would feel like "pissing in front of a nun".. it was such a powerful experience... mere words are not enough to express the greatness of this comic and i wish it was much longer and Jay worked faster continuing it... thats too much to ask because of the great work he has done so far.

its tough to think... is it better when they were kids or not... well them being kids.. there was a lot more drama and weird things happening.. wile the older one is more out and about wile still having crazy things going on.. the only real issue i have is Fisk in the war/other stuff.. i wish he would jest stay home XD
