I first heard this song in a filk circle in the late 70's or early 80's. I was too young and my parents were too old to be into chad Mitchell Trio in the early 60's. So my memories are of the Hunt Valley shore leaves, Crys and my little recoder that was stolen in 96.
Im 20 yrs old and grew up listening to Chad Mitchell Trio. My dad introduced me to their music when I was very young. So youre never too young or old for music.
Thanks. My neighbor bff and I used to like dancing to it. (We were only about 3 or 4). Even at that age, it was hard to keep up with the speed of the song. I remember their version of 12 Days of Christmas too. Funny. ("He's STILL alive)! LOL
My father played this for me as a kid and I stole the album. I have enjoyed the Trio for 40 years...still one of my favorite songs!!! Thanks for Posting this!!
