The Xbox360 version looks much better than the Wii version. It looks more challenging. The Wii version is so easy. Plus, the Wii version has motion-sensing controls that magically pick up movement 30% of the time when the A button is pressed.

no not cool. that ruins sonic's roots. otherwise that would mean that sonic could technically stay in that form as long as he pleases. the wii stays truer to the sonic tradition though.....

and besides the wii version is best described as simple and clean. it reminds me more of old school sonic with its day levels.

yeah in a sense i guess, but the only problem is that you don't actually fight dark gaia in the 360 version. you fight the things creating the force field and sonic then decides to just finish him off. interesting........

I got both, the Wii version I bought, and the 360 version I got for Xmas, and Man, I was really surprised how much better the Wii version was. I really did not expect that, but damn, the 360 version sucked.  I traded it, and still have Wii version. I didn't even get to this fight in the 360, so nice to see it doesn't even look as fun as the Wii one. It's such a dissapointment to see such potential wasted, and wierd to see that the best sonic games are on a nintendo console.

I always find it funny when somebody replies to a super old post. No offense, just interesting. But its not as good, because there is horrible slow-down, Empire city is the probably the worst level design in gaming history, and the hub citys are just boring. more than sonic 06. oh and no shadow or knuckles as promised(reports said they were in ps3/360). And it was a lot easier, I mean just look at the final boss. only disadvantage to wii is the wii controls, and you can avoid that.

Like jakanddaxter I have both versions of the game. I like more stuff in ps3 then the ps2/wii...it's just the latter had more in terms of actual fighting. If they had mixed that in and had more day time stages the game would have been better.

It might just be me, being the Nintendo fanboy that I am, but I think Nintendo has been a lot better to Sonic than Microsoft or Sony. This battle is basically, destroy the shield and kill Dark Gaia, the Wii version has some much more to this battle.

Yeah, I do have a Wii, but truly I agree. Also yeah, they tried too hard in Sonic 06. Eggman isn't that serious and brutal. He's evil but he was meant to be comical at the same time, not to confuse comical with clumsy. I mean back in the day Eggman was seen as a true threat. They need to completely balance that out. Eggman needs to be a real threat again mixed with comedy. I think Sonic Unleashed brought the true Eggman back if not the true Sonic.

i agree completely...in 06 he was extremely cruel and brutal...he kidnapped a girl and got the world sent into a time paradox which they could never escape but luckily did because of sonic....but in this game hes a lot more comedic then cruel...

You just have to attack Dark Gaia's eyes while collecting rings in the Wii version. No sheild protecting him or anything. It's still pretty hard, though.
