There are a lot in youtube.

  • It's flashmob what you have seen , happens all over the world.

There are a lot in youtube.

  • it wasn't a school group. it was for a comercial for an audition program for who gets the main rol in the sound of music tour in belgium.

by the way; no, belgium did this more, like in Aalst they've danced for the climate in a buisy buildig: /watch?v=bSnXOdUa16M&feature=player_embedded#

the building is a library and cultural center called "De Werf".

  • nice idiotic example how fascism works

  • IT'S A FLAH MOB! Where Random people gather together online to create something magical and strange.

Just search flash mob they come in all forms: dances to slow motion walking to everyone standing still :D

  • This was not a Flashmob, it was a professionally organised event using professional dancers which was filmed for use in an advertisement. Flashmobs are never this good.

  • @Banjaxt01 a flash mob is a group of people getting to gether to do something suprising and to cause a scene.

this is a flash mob, just a very well organised one. Professional or not its the same thing.

  • What on earth was this? Special? Definitely! Kind of weird? It's also true! But nice to see so many dancing people somehow. How did they manage this?

  • Well for starters, all Belgian ppl are crazy.

    Rofl.

  • Well Not all. But I am a half Belgian though. Well I'd say in a good way. And they're really fun to be with.

  • @Samy198 Ik spreek dan vooral voor mezelf :) :p

  • @Obelisk1990 oh oki pardon

  • wow! Its great to see something like this from a different perspective than the 'official' one :D

  • i never noticed that man that isn't dancing but he's very good to see on your video thanx love this dance.

  • sueño con ver algo similar en mi pais... te alegra el dia y no lo olvidas jamas.

  • Why were you randomly filming the train station?

  • it doesn't appear randomly. if you notice, he started filming a bit into the song.

  • I never knew the dancers were also singing. Wow!

  • 0:33 it looks like that guy in the grey jacket hit that girl

  • also it was all planned out, 200 dancers appearing at certain times in the video

  • My, that is SOME planning! :-)

  • you can watch it on the camera another one! ummm forget which vid it on....

  • Take a bow, Antwerp! Bravo, you Belgians!

  • Definitely! It was quite a spectacular show!

  • Magnifique

    A en trembler.

  • There was indeed a rehearsal in the station. I was not there but if you look at another video from this exact angle, you can totally see the difference. The big give away? Commuters are absent around the edge of the "dance floor". This is very visible when everyone dancing runs to the center.

Anyway, would've loved to be part of that!! Great work everyone! Thanks!

  • loekas1, you guys did a very good job in getting everyone at the Central Station really surprised and have fun on that very early Monday morning!!! And priteshdagur was very lucky to be at the right place at the right time that Sunday morning for your rehearsal!!!

I'm expecting the Centraal Station Antwerpen gaat uit zijn dak! to hit 10 million mark soon!

  • Centraal Station Antwerpen gaat uit zijn dak!

  • This was our rehersal sunday morning. The actual take was done monday morning march 23. ;-)

  • Ah cool! Any videos of the final one?

  • Thanks for sharing that one: have you noticed its another performance of do ray me. Can i explain/

notice the little girl in the pink skirt in this video at the very beginning then check out the other videos there must have been two performaces.

still brilliant though still gives me goose bumps

    What dose everyone else think?

  • kelly, remember that this is a well choreographed & well planned play. What amazes me most is that there is actually a man who wonders inside the dancers circle. Look carefully. At 2:26 the man in gray coat/jacket comes down the stairs and actually walked into the group (dancers). He casually wonders around like he's walking in the park? What in the world? :)

    Do you guys see him?

  • Absolutely! I was surprised at the SCALE at which the whole thing was organized! Quite some work, it must've been

  • Yeah, he is one of the camera guys. He was standing in front of the mature woman with the white hair and white jacket and that is how he got the close up of her face in the official video taken at the actual performance. There is also another camera man you can barely make out further back.

  • This was actually part of a publicity stunt for Belgian's show to find the next person to play Maria on stage!

    Cool, huh?

  • Yeah damn cool! I hope they found their Maria! :-)

  • I don't think they will find their Maria at Antwerpen! I heard Maria has traveled to New York City (Grand Central Station?) or maybe she moved down somewhere in Melbourne, Australia? (hint hint hint!) *LOL!*

  • but why are you filming when the dancers didn't even start yet??

But I love the vid, it was great and i loved it!

  • perhaps they are part the film crew

  • I started filming for a "before" and "after" effect! :D Initially, I thought it was impromptu but I changed my mind as soon as I saw the coordinated dance! :-)

  • I LOVE this! :D

  • Thank you!

  • This is something we (in the USA) need to learn from the Europeans (thanks Deutch!) With this kind of expression they're telling everyone everywhere that this world is still a better place to live.

I wonder how Julie Andrews would react to this remake of their (with the Von Trapp family) famous Do Re Mi? ;)

  • They're not Deutsch they are Belgian.

    And I agree :)

  • Absolutely! The world sure is a lovely place to live in! Provided we all discover the joy of small things, something that "Sound of Music" professed and stood for! :-)

  • Lucky you! You happen to be at the right place at the right time! It's interesting to see this performance from a different angle (and from an amateur camera. Great job! Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks! We had absolutely no idea this was happening on Antwerp station! So, ya, we happened to be at the right place at the right time

  • Amazing !

  • Thanks :-)
