That is a horrible idea sir, please google the ill effects of eating it dehydrated. It is a serious risk. After all, Soy is poisonous to the human being if eaten raw.
@MyFreedomChannel Whoa chillax. I wrote that comment 6 months ago. First of all, YOURTHRIVEHOMESTORE said his kids eat it right out of the bag, which I said was a horrible idea. Maybe he wasn't of aware of it? All I know is that I bought it to eat like cereal, but after I googled about it and read that I couldn't eat it raw, then I just left it at the back of the pantry. Chill your panties.
@TheBell0410 yeah, I have eaten Chicken TVP & gravy with rice and/or potatoes. It's really good for when you're in a hurry and don't have the real stuff on hand.
i can totally see that working in a chicken salad or mixed in with stuffing. and i'm sure rehydrating with the bouillon (weirdest looking word ever, by the way) would help it taste more authentic. gonna have to try it and see.
I wish the camera was a little more centered when it's shooting straight down on the bowl to get a better look at what it looks like both in the can and rehydrated. But definitely a good idea to have in your food storage rotation.
OH! god i've found an angel

@robinsond76 - Do you really think we're that stupid that you had to say "Soy is poisonous to the human being if eaten raw ... ??"
FYI - TVP like this is already cooked and then freeze dried!!
Go troll some place else!!

How long can TVP be stored? Looks great!
jaimiemildred 2 years ago
This isn't bad. Especially if you reconstitute it with boullion. It has a lot of flavor.

I am confused with how this stuff reconsitutes, do you boil it or something before you use it? How long does this take?
theautumngal 2 years ago
Can you cook these and eat them like normal or do you have to cook them into something?

I love that these are packed with so much protein. I definitely need this in my food storage.

You never think about having meat in your food storage, good idea.

This would be tasty with rice and gravy...do you think that it would work that way?
