This fight against SOPA/PIPA ain't over yet. That is a small victory. There is too much at stake: majors want to control everything. They will pass the bill one way or another, just not before the election, that's what it is. Same thing happened in Spain (pressured by the US) with Sinde: the law wass passed after the election, one of the first bills to pass. Anyway, thanks Alyona for all these info. From Europe.

Alyona: The January 18 blackout revealed a more disturbing thing that scares me even more than SOPA or PIPA and that is the Internet is effectively controlled by a handful of multi-billion dollar corporations who can take down the Internet to serve their interests. Google and the other Silicon Valley swine don't give a stuff about Internet freedom. Their opposition to these laws is based on the impact they'll have on their profit margins.

2. The only way to make this an actual victory is to boycott the sponsors of the bill.
