  • love this song, so sad, so relax

  • Fujita Emi

I just simply love her version of this song...

  • this is my favorite singer to sing this particular tune :X her timbre just fits the song so well

  • I love these pictures! :O Where on earth did you get them?

What keywords did you type into Google? (:

  • Can someone please tell me this singer's name?

  • @117dj Emi Fujita, a Japanese singer

  • @Lifely2009 thank you for telling it(^O^)/

  • i am stunning and i couldn't believe that this sang by a japanese lady name Emi Fujita, i love it........

  • wow i am supost to play this tomorrow for a contest and i didnt really know how its supust to sound like unti now o and i have the melody in thes song :) it sounds so good

  • the chinese characters on the pictures are beautifully poetic.

  • I prefer this version, too.

  • Orlas version of this song is much more amazing!

  • Odd selection of photos. I think that's Clifford Tower from York Castle.

I'd love to know who's playing backup. The flute's especially lovely.

  • @a0e0roberts

it won't be odd if u understand the words.

  • @teresankk

It was down by the Sally Gardens, my love and I did meet.

She crossed the Sally Gardens with little snow-white feet.

She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree,

But I was young and foolish, and with her did not agree.

In a field down by the river, my love and I did stand

And on my leaning shoulder, she laid her snow-white hand.

She bid me take life easy , as the grass grows on the weirs

But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears.

    Clifford Tower?

  • @ImperialistRunningDo

    what are u talking about?

actually i was answering a0e0roberts that i think the pictures are beautifully matched with the song.

  • @teresankk That would be me. a0e0roberts isn't working anymore; and I will close the account soon.

Anyway, I didn't know why this photo from York Castle was in here. Clifford's Tower has a rather horrible blood-stained history to it. Back in 16 March, 1190 ... no, I should say no more. You can look it up easily enough.

  • Oh, that's Clifford's Tower at 1:36.

I SHOULD have said that most of the photos are well chosen, but this one was a jarring exception. Kind of like putting the Tower of London in.

  • @ImperialistRunningDo

i see.. what you mean. sorry for misunderstanding.

  • Can any 1help me out.

I've been looking for this song sung by Dolores Keane, the end credits 2 the film 'dancing at lughnasa'

Any1 know where i can find or download it?

    thanx!

  • If no one has mentioned, this is a poem by Irish poet W. B. Yeats.

  • 我最喜欢的歌曲之一!!!

    谢谢

  • I think the singer is Emi Fujita.

  • I did a search on youtube and I believe you are correct. I have a new favorite singer!

  • I found this song a couple of years back when I started to get into this kind of music. It became an instant favorite, and I always wanted to know who it was. I could only assume she was Irish! I'm very surprised she's a Japanese singer since I listen to a lot more Japanese music

  • Best female version of this song that I have ever heard! Absolutely gorgeous! I want to know who the singer is too! Thanks, Brian

  • Also interested in who is perforoming this song. She has a fantastic voice.

Come on, don't hold out on us.

  • Good rendition of an Irish classic. Plain and simple as it was meant to be. The lyrics are from a W.B. Yeats poem. If you get a chance listen to Lake Isle of Innisfree by Cherish The Ladies (another Yeats poem turned into musical perfection).

  • Who is the singer here? She has a gorgeous voice and this is a fantastic version of this song. I know it as an old Folk Song from Ireland. Though I know it has been used in Scandinavia as well....

  • It's Emi Fujita singing, it has already been said downer...
