pretty song.... we're singin' it 4 school choir....... I wish I could play flute like that............ I'm not very good, but I can play a simplified version of it on flute & piano
wow i am supost to play this tomorrow for a contest and i didnt really know how its supust to sound like unti now o and i have the melody in thes song :) it sounds so good
@teresankk That would be me. a0e0roberts isn't working anymore; and I will close the account soon.
Anyway, I didn't know why this photo from York Castle was in here. Clifford's Tower has a rather horrible blood-stained history to it. Back in 16 March, 1190 ... no, I should say no more. You can look it up easily enough.
omg im soo nervouse i have to preform this in front of a judge as a solo and i just hope i dont mess it up but this song is soo gorgouse and she sang this beautifully good job with the video
yea my band is also playing this,i will be the 1st guitar...cause were 2 guitars( one of them am i),1st singer,2nd singer (me too),flute...very sad song yea.....
being an english literature student..i have to study Irish literature !! its the best !! i love it !! the semester has already begun and the teacher wanted to start the semester with this poem ..
my school band is also doing this song is playing this song in a competition. I also play the flute. This is a really sad song :( but it has a good beat and the notes flow well. I really enjoy playing this.... even though it does kinda make me sad. :(
I found this song a couple of years back when I started to get into this kind of music. It became an instant favorite, and I always wanted to know who it was. I could only assume she was Irish! I'm very surprised she's a Japanese singer since I listen to a lot more Japanese music
Good rendition of an Irish classic. Plain and simple as it was meant to be. The lyrics are from a W.B. Yeats poem. If you get a chance listen to Lake Isle of Innisfree by Cherish The Ladies (another Yeats poem turned into musical perfection).
Who is the singer here? She has a gorgeous voice and this is a fantastic version of this song. I know it as an old Folk Song from Ireland. Though I know it has been used in Scandinavia as well....
really is a beautiful song ...

It was down by the Sally Gardens, my love and I did meet.
She crossed the Sally Gardens with little snow-white feet.
She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree,
But I was young and foolish, and with her did not agree.
In a field down by the river, my love and I did stand
And on my leaning shoulder, she laid her snow-white hand.
She bid me take life easy , as the grass grows on the weirs
But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears.
Clifford Tower?

Oh, that's Clifford's Tower at 1:36.
I SHOULD have said that most of the photos are well chosen, but this one was a jarring exception. Kind of like putting the Tower of London in.
