  • damnit, there is a mass awakening going on.

  • @phackqu That so?

  • iLIKE THE ZEITGEIST MOVIES!

  • @phackqu Thanks for watching!

  • Check my math - please tell your friends and children the truth !

Also lets suppose we had a growth rate of say only .....6.5% - well in 10 years this equation will double in size. We probably only 20 left - (sorry).

  • bigdeezer123 - you say "they" have just found a big oil field. Well who is "they" and how big is it. My facts - from Minister of Energy Canada - the total recoverable reserves globally is about 1332,000,000,000 barrels ( 1.33 trillion ). Consumption globally is about 85220,000 b/d - again surf google and you will find the truth. Do the math and see what your answer is. There have been very few substantial finds since the 80's. The new ones are the very expensive ones aswell.

  • The great lie is that the Satanists want full control in the planet...satan, the devil, the evil ones in D.C and from Europe.

  • The lie is we are not civilized at all. All the way through the ages, "groups" have murdered, decieved and exploited. We are mislead into being passive by greedy governments and power seeking "groups". Man is just a "clever" ape .......maybe not so clever - 40 years of oil left .... do the math !

  • 40yrs of oil left? They just discovered the biggest oil find in history. There is enough oil in this country to keep us going for at LEAST 100 yrs. We havent even tapped the REAl offshore pockets. So where do you get these lies from? Alot of ppl think that i would b great to live without oil, but as soon as it's gone they would be the first ones screaming when they couldnt fill up their cars. When the stores run out of food , when the lights go off. When their cabinets run out of food. YEAH!

  • Fight for what you have now, Before you have to fight to get back what was yours...

  • dont be silent ..stand up for what u believe in ..dont believe what u see on CNN ... dont let other people create your thoughts

  • I am tired of all the lies and deceptions. Truth is all we have now and most of us don't even know what that is. Why must evil control and destroy everything? Is there a happy ending to all of this madness?

    Ya Bless You All!

  • Bless you as well- I think there's a happy ending, how about you?

  • 2012

  • You don't choose how you are going to die. Or when. You can only decide how you are going to live.

    Now.

  • Very true, Nathan.

  • Well said micrOcosm. Thank God for some intelligent common sense.

  • Thanks BerlinBunker :)

  • some people do choose how to die, and sometimes they choose to take others with them

  • @TheMongoose307 Sad but true

  • humanity is too vicious to be civilized but too civilized to be vicious

  • WOW what a profound comment!!!

  • Salvation can only be achieved through compassion, understanding, respect, love and protection for all living organisms. Learn these things and begin to evolve.

  • Wow very deep thoughts you're pitching in here. Thank you for sharing them, mediamisfit.

  • Fundamentalism is quickly destroying the human race. And the Christian fundamentalists who spread hatred, racism, sexism, homophobia and intolerance will be the downfall of the American Empire. Humans may well be the one organism that has the shortest life on this planet. We act like an aggressive cancer, using up every possible resource without concern for our children's, children's children.

  • Yeah....I haven't really seen that we've really turned any corners. It seems like we just get more efficient at killing each other. There are pockets of good folks but our sanctuary is very tenuous.

  • Very well put, that we're getting more efficient at killing each other.

  • great great job but at the end after the car explosion you should add a couple more seconds of darkness to add a dramatic lasting quality, it will make more of an impact that way. really, wonderful work!

  • You might be right about that. Thanks for the looksee and the advice :)

  • no problem

  • wow powerfull video

  • Thanks for giving it a looksee ;)

  • Wait! I know. "Come outa there. You can't sleep in the fridge!"

  • Dammit Sadie! Now I'm angry and depressed!

  • Wait! I can fix that!

What do you call a vampire that lives in the kitchen?

  • I don't know. What do you call a vampire who lives in the kitchen?

  • Count Spatula. Bwahahahaaaaahahaaaaaaaaa

  • DammitSadie!

  • wow powerfull and so true

  • Thank, eef :)

  • "Usually, terrible things that are done with the excuse that progress requires them are not really progress at all, but just terrible things."

    Russell Baker

  • OOOOH that's a great quote! Love it.

  • Tia sent me, wow this is an amazing vid. sent shivers down my spine. Is it not horrible what we do to eah other, our fellow man. Our brothers and sisters on this planet earth. Thank you for sharing, a new subscriber here! :¬)

  • Thanks to Tia for sending you and thank YOU for coming, AND subscribing! Wooo hoooo! Nice to meet you, Samantha. And I appreciate the comment :)

  • Sadie YOU!! are makeing this World a BETTER place!

I love the comments and the Vid, Has opened my eyes even wider. I hate the fact that I am in the army I am there for my brothers in arm the ones i have grown to love

  • Whew that's high praise that I can only hope to live up to someday! Thank you :) Bergno there is no shame in being in the army, none at all, and I hope my video didn't come across that way. Much love to you and your 'brothers in arms'.

  • Very well done! Some truths just hurt:(

  • Thanks, beautiful!

  • OMG are you ok? Did you lose it or something by making this video? Life is just just fucking peachy why would you say otherwize? OH WAIT it's real! You just shattered my wonderful, blind reality WTF!!!!

  • ROFL ROFL you brat

  • The ending was jaw dropping...where is the music from? It was real spooky.

  • Well I layered everything with a sound editor. The beginning is bits of "Mother No More", by Foetus. Later on it merges into After Forever's "Mea Culpa". But I added the 'humanity' and 'civilization' voices to it, as well as John Trudell's.

  • Very well done, I wish I had your skill with the editing...Im jealous:)

  • Well thank you! No need to be jealous, you know your stuff rocks.

  • Well, thank you. I tried new editing software to make cool effects and I cant get the hang of it. You know like green screen stuff...anyway, I watched this a few times, chilling!

  • Correction! It's Mother No More by the Residents.

  • Excellent...5 Stars!!

  • Thank you!

  • Hey I really liked this video Sadie. We kill one another, the planet and all the creatures on it!It's very sad..

  • KAT! Where the heck have you been? Glad you liked the vid. Now come see me, Dammit. Come seeee me. I made you cucumber salad.

  • Yaaaaay! You're here!

  • it is very sad indeed, but it is what has come to be known as civilization--people, countries, diff societies have always attacked each other and the 'winner' is the remaining civilization, no more thanx to vid and diff recording devices. Sad but real. Very heartening to read all these comments though good job

  • Thanks so much- and very good point!

  • I always thought the world to be a safe place. Fear was not part of my vocabulary. All could be conquered. Now that I have children the world seems to be a much more frightening place.

    Well done, home girl!

  • Excellent excellent point! I don't think I even paid attention before having my son. And yes it did get scarier afterwards. Really appreciate the comment!

  • And I was shocked to read above that the whole "Elvis is dead" thingy. Watch the movie "Bubba Hotep" to find out what really happened.

  • it isn't our fight to fight but the lords it is between good and evil and jesus is lord of all amen

  • I can appreciate Trudell's sentiments on civilisation, but the appellation the Great Lie belongs to something other than civilisation

  • Oh I know there is a greater lie. I mean the whole "Elvis is dead" thing is ludicrous.

  • My fortune cookie just said my judgment is off and to rely on friends. So this concludes my 3 days of trying to comment here. My comments didn't satisfied me to post one. I do feel many posts here I can rely on. Great video, great posts!

  • LOL Robert I hope you don't have this much trouble commenting again. We want to know what you think! Thanks :)

  • Great video. Sad, but great.

    Moomay

  • Thank you, Moomay :)

  • That got right under my skin... Wow! This is an excellent work!

  • Danke!

  • This is brilliant Sadie, very potent and unhappily true.

    You can't reason with insanity.

  • Wow thank you!

  • That was crazy seeing a little kid in the kkk

  • Yes, heartbreaking.

  • Our egos tell us to leave the largest footprint possible in history and on this planet and yet the most civilized thing we can do is leave the smallest footprint possible...

  • EXCELLENT -dontmakermesing

  • Thanks... Peace, Sandy

  • Awesome point! I've always said we're measured by the tracks we leave.

  • Excellent video, Sadie. Civilization is relative to each person's interpretation of it. The earth would be better off without our piss poor attempts at civilization.

  • Yes very true, it's all relative.

  • We humans are a parasitic scourge upon the earth. Shame what we have done to our planet and our fellow man! Great video Sadie!!!

  • Hugh! Hey thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the comment!

  • Makes me proud to be a shaved ape and a devolutionist

  • I've seen you shave and I've seen you devolve. I'm still paying my therapist for that.

  • Good thing, too.

  • touching............

  • Thank you!

  • Great Video - this really makes you THINK - thx for the vid 5*

  • Thank you, and I appreciate the rating too :)

  • There will be a day of Judgement be assured for all those following Satin

  • Survival of the fittest just doesn't work. From an evolutionary point of view our species is sick and even 1:48 minutes are enough to prove that. :(

  • To quote Agent Smith from "The Matrix": Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.

  • Whew now there's an eyeful. I would have never guessed the origin of this quote, but I like it.

  • Yeah if you think about it you'll might get a bit pessimistic haha... Happily not all human beings are "a disease, a cancer of this planet" so I guess the point of no return hasn't been passed yet. ;) Just let's hope that we don't have to wait for the day of doom to make ppl start looking over the rim of a tea cup (I need an idiom dictionary... :D).

Enough of thinking about our earth - I go eat some ice cream. :P

    Have a nice day!

  • LOL well maybe we're like bacteria- some good and necessary, some bad. You're right- enuffa that. I'll pass on the ice cream, though. Got any popsicles?

  • Thank you :)

  • I love violence! There, I said it.

  • I love you.

  • This piece suspends its shame with a heavy air. A reminder to all and every one of us. The human instinct brings joy but also brings terror in its persuit of self. As the old cliche goes, i feel sad that many follow the mantra of what is given with one hand, is taken away with the other. Thank you for sharing this shock of reality. Today i will try even harder to attempt to make someone smile.

  • What a beautiful comment! Thank you for leaving it here :)

  • Those who stain society by choosing anger, violence and rage as a way of life really concern me, but then so do those who choose to skip through life picking daisies, wearing rose-colored glasses as they think everybody and everything is really super wonderful.

  • Hmmm! *Takes off glasses, tries to look casual* LOL.

  • Could it be people...not "civilization", what ever that is...who, and what we are, in our hearts, or souls...Yuk, I don't like to face it...good vid.

  • Yes it is a play on the word, that's all it is. Thank you.

  • your videos are always really good & unique. (:

  • Now that put a smile on my face this morning- thank you!

  • I agree with PreacherMan about the Bible and fatcatjack about the media... I can't stand the media.. don't watch the news either!

  • Thanks for sharing your take on it, Jinx :)

  • I guess the thing is, we can't deny our roots. We are violent beings, as are all carnivores and omnivores. Though at least in a society with laws, you are safer from the loss of life and limb.. in tribal societies, say 12,000 BC, might makes right in ALL cases, 100 percent of the time. Things are a little better.. not heavenly, but still better to a degree. Otherwise we woudn't be overpopulated like we are.

  • Very good points! I especially like the use of overpopulation to support our betterness. And I agree. Thanks so much for pitching in your thoughts here.

  • You're more than welcome :) Its just... when I see an old couple holding hands on a park bench... or people fighting for the rights of those in a faraway land that they don't even know... the way people will sacrifice their lives for freedom, or hope, or love... our art and literature.. that gives me hope and reminds me that humanity is going somewhere great- we just have a long journey ahead of us.

  • Oh absolutely! I see more beauty in this world than anything else. This 'uncivilized' truth is a facet of us as a whole, I think. Human beings are still my favorite animal :)

  • Wow. Powerful stuff.

I'm going to go wet myself in the fetal position now... Luv ya. : ]

  • Aw sorry lol. Love you, too =)

  • Great job Sadie!

    Todd

  • Thanks, Todd!

  • WOW!! Great job Sadie!

    XOX Bob

  • Thank you, Bob :)

  • Jesus gave us just two rules that every Biblical law was based on. Love God with all your heart and mind and strength and love your neighbor as you love yourself. If we could learn to live by just those two things, none of this would ever be an issue.

  • Amen

  • I love this very simple answer, although it hinges on everyone bowing to YOUR God. Tell me again how fags, and not religion is harmful to society...

  • Stoppit, Dave. This isn't the place for theological argument. But I'm sure there are ten or twenty in the most discussed :)

    Still love ya!

  • Can I resist?, "resistance is futile" Okay away I go, on the preach's latter rule, this is just the basic Golden Rule that existed way before this jesus so cannot be accredited to him,and on his former rule thats why civilisation is as fucked up as it is, I of course refer to all the gods of the abrahamic faiths, way to go preach.

I am now contrite,I apologise profusely,Im sorry, really sorry may god strike me down dead if I aint innit

  • LOL Blackfingernail you stoppit too!

  • Tough crowd!!

  • Yep Andy, tough crowd but great minds, good company :)

  • Agreed! Anyway that was my Rodney Dangerfield impersonation! (Getting to Know You - reminder) Well you told me to!

  • And another thing. I've clashed with the contrite Blackfingernail before. And I like him, I truly do. But please tell him that the AP Stylebook clearly states that God and Jesus should be capitalized, even for the atheists. And please tell him to quit smashing his finger with a hammer or slamming it in the car door, or picking his nose - whatever is causing that.

  • LOL no way am I going to start grading ANYbody on their spelling around here. It would be a bloodfest, I tell you- and I wouldn't necessarily escape the red pen myself!

  • Sorry! LOL I'll stoppit too! lol

  • Thank you :)

  • my late teens were a bit of a wake up to the world around me...I saw footage of the L.A. riots, I read a lot about Vietnam, and a girl broke my heart

I believe it is healthy to remind yourself, from time to time, how volatile & viscious people can be...this video definately is a refresher. Nice job.

  • Very poignant comment- thank you.

  • I dig your deep stuff there Sadie!

From my perspective, as well as that of some of the greatest Zen Masters... and Sun Tzu as well... Only by acknowledging the truth, [that we are brutal animals and we actually LIKE it], can we eventually elevate ourselves ABOVE it. Our dark side has a place - we cannot be separated from it - we just have to learn how and when to use it and channel it to productive means.

    Great vid Sadie!

  • Wiser words were never spoken! I compleeeeetely agree!

    (And thank you).

  • harry potter. hahaha. (:

  • Mmmkay...

  • Cool...like your dark side

  • Ah thank you

  • to paraphrase something i read recently "we don't just use 10% of our brain, its just the 90% we don't think we use is in fact filtering out all the wonder and horror that is this so called civilization"

  • Oh that is a very cool quote!

  • yeah i like it, when i read it i thought of toasters & pipe bombs .. wonder and horror

  • Hmmmmm! I like the way you think. What were you reading, btw?

  • Slightly embarrassing that it wasn't a great dissertation on the human condition .. it was in one of the "DiscWord" novels by Terry Pratchett (fantasy/sci-fi/humor)

  • I should have known! I LOVE TERRY PRATCHETT! Love him love him!

  • i am rereading the entire series, my bedside table has 7 of his books on it ;)

  • Awesome! I love it when Mort has to take over for Death. Dunno which book that is- they're all a wonderful clever articulate hilarious blur to me, aside from some choice characters and story lines. I consumed them waaaay too fast.

  • lol, surprisingly that ones called "Mort" .. my favs are "the watch" series with Sam Vimes

  • *Slaps forehead* Oooooh. Yep I shoulda known that. Ok great Swami which one is where time was stopping?

  • Thief of time .. remember rule one?

  • Yeah! Thief of Time! Hmmmm something about beware of little old men?

  • yup, you got it ;)

good rule, rule 1. always helps to pre-member it ;)

  • your such a geek !!

  • Oh yes indeedy. But not to the extent that I have shelves of Star Wars memorabilia or anything *ducks and runs for cover*. I hate space.

  • lol, i was actually talking to myself (ok that sounds odd) but hey, if the shoe fits :)

  • Oh lol okaaaaaaaaaaaay. Sheesh you're really making me feel my haircolor today, you! Stoppit!

  • ohhh, your feeling pink ?

  • Psssht not anymore!

  • ohhhh .. right .. blond .. sorry (insert blond joke here)

  • I did? Yaaaaaaaay! I wasn't so sure I was remembering correctly. Yaaaaaaaay!

  • hehehe, its the one im 1/2 way through at the moment ;)

  • wow! thats DEEP!! but we do live in a SAD WORLD! you get 5 stars just cause your SadieDammit! ((wink))

  • Thank you!

  • :( sad.

  • Sorry :(

  • Well, this is a video that makes one think, that's for sure.

My take: civilization is at best a veneer over the old, cruel, self-serving apes we still are. Civilization *tends* to impose consequences for overtly nasty behaviors, and thus attempts to deter or limit them. But by no stretch of the imagination have we conquered our baser natures.

I only hope civilization, deficient as it is, will last long enough to offer our descendants a chance to become something better.

  • Extremely well put and I echo everything you said! Bravo!

  • I'm an Ape?!!! OMG! WTF!... I can't be! I have opposable thumbs and I only need to shave once per day and... I'm slightly allergic to bananas and tall trees. I also know how to use a toilet. I've never thrown poop at anyone! B-)

  • You SURE you've never thrown poop at anyone? I'd check that with your Mom before making such a claim... toddler apes do strange things sometimes... hehee

  • I know people who have taught cats to use a toilet. Come to think of it, one was popular on YouTube a while back...

But the comparison is unfair. Cats are better planetary citizens than we are. They can be mean, but they never start wars, they seldom hold grudges, and if they throw their poop, at least they don't aim it. :P

  • Omg the ending scared the shit out of me lol!

  • Oh good! I mean- oops, sorry. Hehee. No, seriously, I was hoping to end with a jolt.

  • Great video.

  • Thank you

  • A somber view at humanity, in action. I know humanity is better than those images flying across the computer screen. Consider the context of the place and time of those events before buying into the doom and gloom of society. Indeed, Sadie, there are few safe havens left.

  • I do not subscribe to 'doom and gloom', thank ye. Don't mistake my realism for pessimism. We are better than those images, and we are the sum of that and those images.

  • You're all invited to my house. It's safe... I don't watch TV.

    Great vid Sadie... Dammit.
