  • That's the reason why Sony is 2.5bill in minus this year. I am working for 11 years with all kind of cameras. I never seen something like this with Panasonic or Canon cameras. I opened many Sony lenses, all of them have a cheap plastic part inside that is easy to brake overtime and these parts are very easy dislocated even with a slight hit to the front of camera. Then when you go to Sony, they will never replace that $5 value plastic piece. They will replace the whole lens for $1400,

  • Yes I know that I was outside the recommended working temperature. However I recently got the 61:10 error and that happen at +8 Celsius. Within working temp. I will send it for a checkup in January.

When set it to it's highest setting 1080/50P All software I use say it is 1080/25P. Fresh re install of comp with different codecs same result. When trying to upgrade firmware it say I have a newer version installed already than the latest provided by Sony. Something fishy is going on.

  • The recommend operating temperature is 0-40 degree Celsius, you stated -10 degree Celsius. So I think you cant blame it is faulty, just operating under this situation is considered extreme for the camera. If it also occurs within the recommended operating situation, then you just complain. You can look for the specification on Sony Website.

  • Another interesting thing is that if I select the highest quality setting on my cam 1080i/50. the cam say it is so but every other software I use including Premiere say it is 1080/25. Seems to be a software bug in the cam as well. I also recently had three times problem that the zoom died totally. I had to remove battery to get it working again. This is start to get annoying. On Monday I will call Sony to see what they like to do about this.

  • Strange error. Have not seen it anywhere else. I have some other strange error with my camera. But I will need to talk with Sony first. I'll post it here later.

  • Encountered with the same error several times, than it got worse and turned into E62.10 ERROR CODE. The camera begins to vibrate, the image begins to jiggle. Sometimes after turning on the camera refuses to boot - the "SONY" logo hangs on the screen until you remove the battery!

  • @tvsatellitestudio

i have same problem with my NX-5 camera. Focus error, and the hang after boot.

i loss money n client using this camera. the error happen on the inportant timing during my shooting.
