When you think a driver is going to pull out in front of you dont stand on your rights, just get ready to brake/take evasive action. Making eye contact when the driver has'nt even seen the bike is a little difficult. art m

I have been practicing trying not to crap myself whilst going past side streets and junctions, it has worked somewhat although I just need to change my mindset a bit more.

It'll come (I hope).

I tell you what else freaks me out, when drivers barrel up to a junction and you're convinced that they're not gonna stop.......that really freaks me out!

I never thought I'd be this neurotic about riding, I've done it for 18 years now.

I agree 100% with you about good drivers making eye contact. That is why I HATE tinted glass on the front windows. If I can't see the driver, I don't feel as safe. I can't tell if they are looking at me, or texting on their cell phone.
