The benchmark is a rough estimate and that designed quickly after Alpha testing ended. It's far from accurate. I advise people to not base your decisions off of it.

So, are we NOT supposed to buy the game if our system scores low on the Benchmark? My system scored pitifully low, even though on the FFXIV website the listed minimum system specs essentially describe my system.

My system scored so low, I don't even think 2more sticks of Ram would help.

What should I do? Buy Patrician IV???

@AmazedUtu You can still buy even if its low...the benchmark is a guideline and isn't really that accurate...it scored my pc low and I played with above par specs...that thing is off. Only thing now is it keeps crashing the benchmark on my other pc...no idea how to get around that

I dont' understand I got Score 801 Load Time 28696ms. I have win 7 64bit intel(r) Pentium(r) 4 CPU 2.80 GHZ (2 CPUs) ~2.8GHz. Have a NvIDIA Geforce GT 220 with 1 GB Ram and 4GB of Ram Why am I getting crappy numbers. I mean crap I can run EQ2 on almost Higest settings and have it run smoothly. any thoughts?

@iBEspiked it's just that your monitor isn't big enough from the sounds of it you need to purchase a monitor that can actually fit the 1920x1080 size

Running a game when there's hardly anyone on is one thing ... at release, expect to log in with a couple of thousand players on your server. You want comparisons? In FFXI, peak for Midgardsormr was around 4,800 players. Again, can't handle the benchmark, then that means go upgrade.

Recently released but not all that powerful.

I've always had problems with shadows in games.

I'm sorry to tell you that a G210 is most definitely not even at the minimum requirement to run this game. On the hierarchy chart for current GPUs and gaming performance, the G210 is 20 levels below the GTX 480 and 22 levels below ATI's HD 5970. At the very minimum you'll need to buy at least a GTS 250 card. I'm not sure what you're running for your processor, but if it's not an i5/i7/Phenom II then it better be a quad core processor at minimum.

@Hellbottom interesting because ive too read many ppl confused about not scoring high at all but can run the beta fine...which is in all sense the actual game..ppl thinking this benchmark is very innacurate..so perhaps itll run fine on lower setting on my Imac...i mean my firend has a decked custom built PC that runs crysis on max settings just fine and he only score 2100 on this so im gonna call shenanigans on this benchmark and pray it runs fine

@Hellbottom i scored like a 902 on my Imac which is basically a laptop on a stand..so if that score is typically normal for laptops...then are u implying there is hope i can play this game on low-mid setting and not lag like crazy...atleast for 6 months until PS3 version comes...looking at hte specs on FF14 site too...i meet all of them except my graphics card is a tad bit lower...will that one spec seriosuly disable me from playing this game?

@czmaness if i had to pick anyhting from ure spec list it would have to be the processor that might be holding u back because 3-4 GBs is enough and ive seen the gt 240 score higher than the new gt 270s believe it or not...from what ive seen alll those ppl with quad cores or higher are raping this benchmark...im intel duo core and apparently im slacking...however most ppl are saying this benchmark is bullshit because ppl with top line equipment score shit sometiems and low end stuff scoring high

I'm using a ATI Radeom HD 5850 and 4gigs of ram with a 2.8 dual core, I know its not alot, but at lest my graphics card is pretty decent, I think I would get more than the 1900 im getting, maybe go up to 2500
