hi i would love a trojan, i have no hobby grade rcs and i really want to have one! PLEASE PICK ME!! i am already subbed and i liked the video and favorited it, and added it to watch later!
Honestly for me, I have never been involved in any RC stuff :O Someone introduced me to this channel and got really interested after watching tens of videos here, its amazing!
I started with RC-flying cos I saw a video here on youtube, it was two RC-jets howering and blowing smoke on to the feald. I tought it was so cool that I wanted to start flying myself, best choice ever! :-D
Simular video but not the one: watch?v=4HesU492gTA
When I started in rc I was 10, my uncle just came back from vacation and bought me a 3ch co axial. I loved it so much but aways crashed it and then I went to xheli.com from nightflyyers and bought a couple more 3ch coaxials. I got good at that but wanted a single rotor heli because coaxials are ugly so I bought a 4ch fp heli and I got hooked. Then I started buying airhog planes and had alot of fun and then started to build my own rc planes. Now I'm 15 and love rc planes, heli, and boats and car.

I've always wanted to get into rc, but just never knew the best way to start. I visited a rc club and meet some guys and found them to be super easy going and fun to talk to. I have my first plane now and looking to begin adding to the fleet in the coming years
I started RC several years ago with cars and trucks, I went in to a pool supply store that also had several RC's on display, well along with my pool supplies I bought a 4x4 car crusher and a 55' ford P/U wheel stander, and that led to two more. Recently I thought I'd try my hand at planes, it's been a blast, oh, by the way, I just turned 62, I wish I could afford all the planes I like. oh well.
I started by flying rc-helis and quadrocopters which was a dream of me since I was a boy. Changed to flying planes since I had too much costly crashes with the helis ;-)
what started me in rc was that when i was 11 years old because one day i saw some people flying so i searched on Google RC planes and the first link was nitro planes. i thought that all planes where like toys so i bought a piper cub , and crashed in my maiden flight , several months later i decided to buy a dynam hawk sky. now i am 13 and i have acrobatic planes and warbirds
I'm almost 16 years old now, and my dad had an old PT-40 hanging in the basement, he planned on starting about 20 some years ago but never got into it. Since I was about 5 or 6 i wanted to fly that plane, and he told me I had to wait until I was older, well about 9 years later I was flying with a friend of my dad's on a buddy box, then this past summer I was getting lessons from another member at my flying club, he taught me everyting I know, and I soloed for the first time about 3 weeks ago
Come on everyone ..... we need a lot more "likes" here to have the T-28 given away!! I don't know about the rest of you, but I would love to win a free T-28 RTF!!!
I got started in RC when I decided to buy a toy grade heli, 'the micro mosquito'. After going through some airhoggs stuff, I moved on to bigger and better things. No more toy grade here but I do have some good memories of them.
I started in RC trucks/cars when I was 12 because I was fainated with off road vehicles, but too young to drive; so, rc wa the next best thing. My first truck was a Tamiya Mid Night Pumpkin. I have now been into heli's and planes for the past 3 years
I. Got started in rc after seeing someone flying an ic plane in a local feel, I waited until he landed, then went over and started talking to him, he is now a great family friend and we often fly together. It is also worth noting that I have wanted to be a pilot since I was little, and through. This friend, I have been offers a place at british airways as I pilot :) as always, keep up the great work np :)
Man when I think I'm all set on a new plane choice, you guys come out with something better lol. Hard to tell what kind of plane I want now. I really like my Parkzone T-28, but need to replace it due to crash damage. With the cost of parts and shipping I may as well get a whole new bird lol.
I am currently training on the skytrainer Cessna 182 from nitro planes and the T28 would be a great next step. I always watch and like your "this week in RC" videos as the tips are great and the updates on new products are interesting. Thanks heaps nitroplanes and Liz for doing so well presenting them. Nice work.
I Started in RC while Stationed in South Korea in the US Army, We had some down time but there wasn't any places we could go do to transportation issues, but in the town just outside the gate at Camp Pelham there was a hobby store, every size RC car you could ever desire & Plenty of Air-soft, since we "played" with the real thing during the week RC cars was the way to spend your time and have fun with the guys, well at 52 i still have that fleet of RC Cars that was run in 1994 &2011 still run.

i got into rc and rc flight due to a back injury at work so i can't work at my old job doing what i used to fixing cars and anything that has a motor in it so i bought my first syma Apache and fell in love ever since. i would love to win something bigger since i can't buy right now due to workmen's comp being so cheap
Went to the local hobby shop and just bought one. Started the next day. Crashed and burned 100 times till I finally got it in the air. Have been hooked ever since!!!!
I Started in RC because I am a photographer and my friend kept talking about how people were doing arial photography with an RC helicopter mounted camera. I thought about how cool that would be and started looking into RC choppers. That led me to airplanes and now I am hooked.
When I was a kid they had a summer club assembly at our local school at the end of the school year. One of the classes included building a balsa super chipmunk. I totally wanted to do it, but it was SOOO expensive. Thank God that prices have come down so much over the last few years. It makes even us po folk able to afford and enjoy it. Thanks Nitroplanes!
When I was ten (in the early 70s), I watched these guys fly their planes from a corn field in New Hampshire while I was on vacation and I thought it was the coolest thing.
Was looking around at random crap online to get for my birthday, found one of your sites, actually, went down to a hobby shop the next day and here i am.
Oh man, My son wrecked his Nitroplanes FW190 beyond repair last Thursday. It's toast. If you let me win I will give him the T-28. He was heartbroken. Please let us win. I have 5 kids and can't afford to buy him another plane...
First RC: MicroFlyer 2-channel. Got it for my Grandson. Ha Ha! 3 years later I am up to over 30 planes and 6 helis, many from Nitro Planes. Still adding to the fleet. Always wondered why they call one of my favorite planes the "Addiction"?? Now, I know. I'm now teaching new pilots, mostly kids, and bringing new people into the hobby. What a wonderful and satisfying pastime.....
Two friends of mine got Rustlers, I got a Slash, it's history from there, Sold the slash, got a Driftstar, sold the Driftstar got a SC10 4x4, a SC10 and a Kyosho RB5 SE2, along with a ultra Micro p51 mustang, a mcp x and a exi 450 heli
3 years ago visiting my older brother for his 55th birthday, The simple question posed.. "What do you want for a birthday present?"... Hah! He previously saw a $40.00 RC plane at local hardware store he thought would be fun... We went, I bought two... Little did I know that after all that windy crashing, ?Then, getting it to do an eye level fly by.. I was needing more! It has escalated since then from HIS birthday wish!!
I've been into RC Cars since the early 80's when I got my first Tamiya Boomerang and Kyosho Rocky( I still have this), I've always been interested in planes and Heli's but just don't have the time do handle more the few cars I still race and my kids racing too, however with all the nice new easy to fly beginner stuff out there I just might pull the trigger and get one!
I started with rc helicopters after a coworker flew one in our office so I got one too and have been hooked ever since! I first got a few helis then got into rc planes which I fly mostly now.
Ive started with my dynam sky hawk from nitroplanes it teach me how to fly and after almost 3 years its in great shape now it teaching my GF how to fly a plane.
I started with RC cars. Owned an original Sand Scorcher when it first came out, in fact I still have it. My dad got me interested in RC planes and helicopters.
Unlike many here, I didn't start this amazing hobby as a child. I never had any family members that were into this so I never knew about rc planes before! It was not until I recently saw a show on tv about rc planes that it sparked my interest. At age 23 I decided to buy a cheap starter plane and have been in love since!
well i started as evry kid playing with cars then i descover that there were helicopters and airplanes and that was life omg there are more than cars then my father got into helicopters as well as me, but like one year ago my best friend bought an rc 4 channels airplan and it's increadible so since then i have been more interestes in all rc stuff
I loved anything that had to do with planes, trains and automobiles as a kid, and decided to try my hand at rc planes and helicopters. I started with 2 channel airhogs planes and 3 channel helis and worked my way up.
My Dad's friend from work use to take me out to the flying field when I was kid (in the 70s) He would let me fly his planes..... thanks Mr Berg (RIP) I plan on getting kids in my neigborhood hooked on the hobby!
I got started in R/C the same way a lot of people do. I got a R/C car for Christmas when I was about 6yrs old. When I was 12-13 I bought a MRC Hornet, and from there, it was planes, and helis. It's an addiction.
Got started originally when I was overseas in Germany in the late 70's. Got out of the hobby after I came back in 1981, since fishing became more fun than crashing/repairing. Started again last year after going to a Project Warrior event sponsored by my local flying club. It brought back pleasant memories and, after checking things out for a couple of months, found that the hobby had improved equipment so much, and prices are so reasonable I couldn't stay away.
How did i get stated?? to tell you the truth i have no idea! maybe its was..... no.... hmm..... im not sure. but what i can tell you is that ive ALWAYS been interested in aviation, my whole life!! my uncle was a pilot for as long as he could remember and he was always telling me his crazy stories... RC is my life now and to tell you the truth, i want it to stay that way!
i was 3 years old when i wanted to become a pilot and im still training and im in the aircadets but since i cant fly real planes i compinsate with rc planes but i could never buy one until a friend had enough of his e-flite apprentice and gave it to me and my first time out i didnt even crash it felt super natural. im fixed on buying either the airfield 1400mm zero or wait until the f6f hellcat but the t-28 would be a nice plane to have around. Zoltan K.
A friend of mine invited me to go to the field and watch him and his buddies fly and I bought my first plane that night. I am hooked. I would love to have the T-28 as my newest plane as it is also my favorite plane.
I started flying in 1968, rubber powered first, gave me the bug. I joined a club in 1971 and In 1972 I saved enough to by my first radio, my trainer was a TopFlite Top Dawg with a 15 motor. Every Sunday I would fly circuits and bumps for 20 flights. I get a rush each time I see one of the aircraft I built take off and fly, I have 80 models in my shed, 13" peanut scale up to 12' RC glider, I run 2c, 4c, diesel and electric motors. I need more time in the air.
Hmm, well it all started with a Sig Riser and a Conquest 4 radio. Then a Tamiya Falcon which I still have but the Riser met with a tree and ended that. Now its nitro cars and planes with a few brushless items along the way.
i got started rc when i saw you liz...=) seriously, i guess i started with lego's when i was a kid, then matchboxes, gundam models, small tamiya cars, then 1/18 rc's when i can already afford it..=)
Flying RC planes is great for me, as i can do it from my seat as i am disabled and have C.O.P.D . I cant walk very far, I took the hobby up once i found i could no longer work due to my illness and i find it is a great way to relax and have fun with the children. i love your YouTube channel and watch and like every thing you guys do, and the tips are the best for me as i am new to the hobby love it guys all the best simon / paddletug
My Dad used to take us to the flying field when I was about 5yrs old. He got started flying u-control airplanes while he was stationed on an airforce base in Vietnam back in the early 70's.
I really hope I can get the plane, and I got started because I watched sons of guns and saw them shoot down some planes with a custom AA 4 mg42 mounted machine gun turret.
Well I got started when I had hip surgery and I need something to do from my front porch so I got an rc car and that grew to rc planes to thank fore the great videos
well my family has always been intro rc when they were younger, like my dad had a lot rc electric cars, my uncle had many cars, boats, plans, heli's so i wanted to do start as well. So i started doing research and ened up with a traxxas slash 4x4!!!
When I was 12 years old I saw a 1/12 scale Jerobee car with a .049 engine in a magazine that did 240 mph scale speed (Didn't know scale mph meant). I was a paperboy, a good saver and 6 months later it was mine. That was 1972 and I still have the car today along with approximately 28 other cars, 70 planes, 18 helicopters and only 4 boats. Real RC's not department store. I RC 2 to 14 per day and for example I've only missed 1 day this year. It's my therapy and cheaper then a psychiatrist
My first RC vehicle was one of those old typhoon hovercraft. I think it was a christmas present. They were pretty popular and affordable back in the day. After that I got into RC cars and only within the last couple years got into aircraft
I started RC when I was at an aviation camp and one of the field trips was to go to an RC flying field. One guy was really nice and he had an extra transmitter so he attached them together with a cable and he took the plane really high and then gave me the controls. I didnt know what i was doing i put full throttle and then it was just about 5 feet above our heads and he put full elevator and just made it. Then i started going to the club ever since. and i still go every week!
Better late than never. Getting started at 67 years is not as difficult as I would have imagined. Just have to start at a slower pace, like I did with an electric glider. After flying my Radian for a few months, I am ready for something more challanging. Also, keeping a spare plane in the backround is a comforting thought.
I have always loved rc especially airplanes then once my mom saw a newspaper article of a boy my age in a local club so i started calling people and then went to there meeting on the meeting i won aerobatic balsa plane that was an arf guys at the club were nice enough to give servos and a motor so I went to nitroplanes and got there dynam trainer its a great plane and i love it I am now flying the nitro plane I got.
I'm tuned every week.. wow!

Unlike many here, I didn't start this amazing hobby as a child. I never had any family members that were into this so I never knew about rc planes before! It was not until I recently saw a show on tv about rc planes that it sparked my interest. At age 23 I decided to buy a cheap starter plane and have been in love since!

Got started originally when I was overseas in Germany in the late 70's. Got out of the hobby after I came back in 1981, since fishing became more fun than crashing/repairing. Started again last year after going to a Project Warrior event sponsored by my local flying club. It brought back pleasant memories and, after checking things out for a couple of months, found that the hobby had improved equipment so much, and prices are so reasonable I couldn't stay away.

i was 3 years old when i wanted to become a pilot and im still training and im in the aircadets but since i cant fly real planes i compinsate with rc planes but i could never buy one until a friend had enough of his e-flite apprentice and gave it to me and my first time out i didnt even crash it felt super natural. im fixed on buying either the airfield 1400mm zero or wait until the f6f hellcat but the t-28 would be a nice plane to have around. Hi Liz,
I started flying in 1968, rubber powered first, gave me the bug. I need more time in the air.
iflylilplanes 6 months ago
Hmm, well it all started with a Sig Riser and a Conquest 4 radio. Then a Tamiya Falcon which I still have but the Riser met with a tree and ended that. Now its nitro cars and planes with a few brushless items along the way.
voodoomagic001 6 months ago

Then i started going to the club ever since. and i still go every week!
desidudes78 6 months ago
Better late than never. Getting started at 67 years is not as difficult as I would have imagined. Just have to start at a slower pace, like I did with an electric glider. After flying my Radian for a few months, I am ready for something more challanging. Also, keeping a spare plane in the backround is a comforting thought.
