black is not a color in terms of wave lengths..it is defined as the absence of a color, while white is the presence of a color.

in terms of paint, black/white are not considered colors, they are tools for changing the value of a color.

the value is how light or dark a color is.

Addendum for pheonixphire: Just wanted you to know I have Sheer cover & Bare Minerals to work with- going to have to get some 'metallic

Blue'.(However, brown & green colors(aquamarine is ok) don't especially look good on me.Prefer gold/silver porcelain,lavender, but not orange,yellow or red-except fushia with blue undertones works for eve. Love Art, Creativity, as well as Music. Thanks so much.

Skin & eyes are sensitive, prefer minerals.
