Sorry if that last message was a little offensive I didn't realise you were 14. Yes you're right it is easier to drift on wet roads. I'm glad you have an interest in driving i always have too. When i was 12 i learned racing lines and basic cornering techniques. You can get a lot of that sort of information online and then perfect your skills on the go-carting circuits! Good luck :)

Yeah the RX7 is brilliant for drifting, great weight distribution, lots of power and rwd of course, but you don't need loads of bhp to learn the basics. My first rwd car was a Eunos Roadster which was lightly modified to around 150bhp and i had loads of fun in it! As soon as i could afford the insurance i went on to a BMW E36 M3. Now i drive a Volvo T5 lol. I was thinking about an RX7 but they have a bit of a reputation for engine failure so i'll probably go back to an M3 when i have the money!

Bhp is Break Horsepower used to describe the maximum power output, so if a car puts out 100bhp you talking about smaller engined slower cars say up to around 1.6 litre engines in Fiestas and Clio etc, if you're talking 200bhp you're talking about faster non turbo 2.8 litre BMW's or 2.0 litre Civic Type R's, and 1.8 turbo charged Audi TT's, if you are looking at 300 bhp you're looking at very fast cars like the RX7, older BMW M3, Mitsubishi Evos and other things that will kick ass!! :)

But speed an acceleration isn't just about bhp it's also about weight. The lighter the car and the more the bhp the faster it will be. So a very light 200bhp car can be faster than a heavy 300bhp car. I had a race prepared mk2 Golf with 140bhp that was totally stripped of all unecsessay weight, that was faster than 180 bhp TT's, Seat Cupra's, and so on.
