The biblical test of any prophet is %100 accuracy! Nothing less. Anything less in the Old Testament and the person who made that prophecy was stoned to death and not with drugs. The scriptural test of a Prophet is that what they prophecy comes to pass. 100% all of the time. Not 30% or 20%.

Agabus did not prophesy falsely. He was 100% correct. Paul was arrested at the behest of the Jews and handed over to the Gentiles.

Read more carefully, he did get it wrong. He said the Jews would bind him with his own belt, but it was not the Jews it was the Romans. So he got it wrong. But that didn't stop him from being called a prophet (we know in part, we prophecy in part).

1 Corinthians 1:19 "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

Then it goies on to say that the Gospel was not preached by Paul with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that "your faith might not REST ON mans wisdom, but on Gods power."

you and I both know that's not true. I am fairly intellectual myself, and love science, history, and reason. My concern is that we in the west have tried to find God exclusively through these means. It has not worked very well. According to the Bible, God has trumped the limitations of the mind of man and wants to engage us through supernatural means that defy human understanding. The word "believer or christian" is used very loosely in our society.
