The number one cause of global warming is the US's consumption to meat and dairy products. It's true! Google it and see for yourself! If we all cut down (or cut out) meat and dairy from out diet we can make more of a difference than driving less and changing light bulbs. Like Captain Watson says "A vegan driving a Hummer is less impact than a meat eater riding a bicycle". This is a fact that even Al Gore finds inconvenient. I made the transition to being vegan and if I can do it so can you!

screw global warming. Why is driving my exotic car bad when china and other countries polute many times more than the US? I will not get rid of my sportscar until other countries step up to the level we are at.

Besides last winter it was colder than previous years and we had more snow than previous years and Al Gore was nowhere to be found. What a bunch of crap.

I'm also doing my part with energy saving light bulbs I place plastics cardboard tin cans and glass as well into separate bags that are placed into the recycling dustbin.

Global Warming doesn't exist in the context it's being discussed. People are not responsible for global climate changes...period. Luckily the lies are becoming so outrageous that the cause will eventually discredit itself.

As much as I like Mr. Shatner and all his work, I cannot believe he has fallen for the global warming hype. I could go on and on but what good will it do. The earth will continue to change naturally is it has done for millions of years with or without us.

I agree that compromise is not the answer but at least there's an effort being made in the opposite direction from what it is now. We all need to take SOME action and do SOMETHING to protect our future generation. Thanks to all the organizations and people in the forefront doing SOMETHING!

I have to ask why the all electric car was replaced by the hybrid if carbon emmision reduction is so important. Ah... a compromise between the greenies and the greedies (globalist oil monkies). The hybrid keeps the oil monkies in business and reduces carbon emissions probably on average by 50%

How about the all the toxic materials required to manufacture these huge batteries and all the disposal nightmares that will be associated with these batteries in the years to come. Also where is all the electricity coming from when half the population is pluggin their cars in at night (its not free and unlimited either). Electricity is probably the stupidest alternative to very clean burning combustion engines that is available. It only works because there are so few of them.
