  • very cool display ,very wise of you to only leavee it out for a bit ,theives and crazies everywhere on halloween ..i like your idea of bleaching the clothes to rip them more easily..great stuff..i was checkin out a vid by one of my favorite haunters named pumpkinrot and your video came into my awareness..im subscribing look forward to much much mooooooore! rest in peace..

  • awsome love the grave digger best nice work cant wait to see this year !!!!

  • @Diamondgruff Thank you very much!

  • I absolutely loved your display very creepy and you did such a great job on the set up one of the best I had seen yet. Would love to see it in person.

  • @hytinendc18 The frame like all the other characters that I made, was made from 2x2 pine lumber... Real basic frame. For fill I used crumpled up newspaper. For the head I used insulating expansion foam that I sprayed repeatedly on a small piece of 2x2 lumber and then I shaped it after it dried with a fillet knife. Then after shaping it I pulled the mask over the head form, and glued in some glass eyes from a taxidermy supply shop... The hands, fake severed head, and knife purchased as well.

  • @iamthenra1968 ok great! thanks for the response!

  • your setup is amazing!! was the Michael Myers store bought or did you make it yourself? If you made it yourself, what was the frame made out of and how did you fill it to make it look real?

  • @MissTanyaLea - continued from the prior comments... the head was made from expansion foam, you know the kind you use for insulation. I sprayed it on a 2x2 piece of lumber, and let it dry and harden. I then sculped it to make a believable head shape, and then glued in some glass eyes from a taxidermy supply company, and then slid on the mask... I think out of all the creations I have made, he is my master piece! Thanks again!

  • @MissTanyaLea Thank you very much for the very kind words. My Jason is pieced together odds and ends from around the garage. I used 2x2 lumber for the frame. I went to the Salvation Army and bought his clothes. I spent a while bleaching the jacket to rot the fabric so that it would tear easy, then I dyed it along with a white pair of overalls... Yeah they were white.. I dyed them black, and then prepared to dress a 2x2 frame. I then stuffed the clothes with crumpled up newspaper.

  • Great job, I really liked the corpses/zombies coming out of the graves. When you zoom in at Jason at the end I swear I was preparing for that to be a real person under the mask who was going to jump at the camera and scare the cupcakes out of me!

  • @Gleek369 walking around and filming wasn't hard at all. I used the fold out screen on my camcorder. I used Adobe Soundbooth to mix the music that was playing live. I mixed the theme song from Halloween and merged that with the Jason Vorhees "Cha cha cha" sound... The sad thing is I only get about 12 trick or treaters every year. I mainly do this for myself, I really enjoy it.

  • @iamthenra1968 We opened our yard haunt the first year we had about 8 kids. The next year we placed signs up at the end of the road and we got 30-40 kids. Now going on 10 yrs ltr,,we average 300-400 people that come through. We open 30-31 5pm till 930..We didnt do it last year.Oct 30 we had about 60 ppl come out wanting us to do The House of Blood again,so we set up a small area and opened on the 31..U guys did good, keep at it,I like making the props, and the 'special rooms' lol..nice set up u have

  • How can you walk around videoing everything... even if it was me who set something as creepy as that up, I wouldn't be able to walk around in it... the flashing lights and that zombie coming out of the groud made me actually shiver. Was the music playing or did you just add that in?

  • man where did you get all of tht cool stuff i love it!!!!!!!!! my favorite holiday is halloween and it is coming up so i reallllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy want to decorate!!!!

  • I love what you did with the lighting, you should get it on motion detectors so everything turns on and off. It will make it come alive more! Great Job though! You should check out my video of my yard, youtube.com/watch?v=vXCDd_QVBbo

Thanks! It's a Sony camcorder "Digital 8" so it's old school....

  • Very good! Your yard is pretty amazing. I think its time you step up to a front yard maze haha. You definitely have enough props for one

  • @714buddy

    Thanks! I enjoy it!

  • wow! amazing, better than I can do!

  • @adamrose961

    Thank you!

  • Love this video.. Great job on your yard, best one I've found on YouTube. I was wondering, what kind of lights did you use for your cemetery displays..?

  • @drmonarch

Thank you very much! It's fun! I wish I were rich and could afford more.

Just standard colored flood lamps... Cheap lights from Home Depot. I used blue, green, red, orange. I had large canon strobe lights on the Michael Myers, Jason and the vampire. As a side note, I used Adobe Soundbooth to merge the "Cha cha cha" from Friday the 13th onto the soundtrack from Halloween. Very handy software!
