Ahh finally a clip that actually shows me step by step how to garden! I've never gardened before but now I live in a place with a huge back yard AND all the tools I need! Now I'm off to get some seeds!
I love the taste of garden tomatoes and watermelons. Not to mention I love garden fresh corn. Vegetables are expensive the best way to have a fresh veggie supply would be to garden. Fruit trees are a must because I love fresh fruit. Canned fruits are subpar compared to fresh ones. I decided the first thing I'll grow will be strawberries.
I have a huge used to be garden in my back yard, I think I can handle turning some dirt, specially since I plan to sell my crops at the local farmers market, my point being, nothing is too hard as long as you put your mind to it.
if your joking than that wasnt a very funny joke at all, and if your serious then most towns/cities have community gardens which you have to pay for but usually not very much
we are using an old cultivater we found and fixed up--easier on the back. after using rake out all grass and mix soil with fertilizer, sand etc. make sure your soil is not too acidic-plants like people need to be alkaline to thrive and grow[get a soil tester--they are not expensive]if too acidic put lime on top and let it sit over the winter
This is so cool and amazing. Thanks for the tips.

Ummm...I'm pretty sure I could turn 100 square feet with a SHOVEL in less than 30 minutes and have it tilled in that much time, too!

Wow...not only could you have used a tiller instead, but wouldn't a shovel been easier than a fork?

You wouldn't turn the soil like that around here.
gigman7 2 years ago
What do you do with the grass that you turn? Do you compost it, leave it in the soil, use it elsewhere, throw it away?
