the difference between the hit on patches and all the others in this video is that 90% of the other videos shown the players had the puck...the hit on patches was dirty as fuck, patches had already dumped the puck and the hit was a unnessicary late hit. thats the reason for suspension.

pacioretty last touched the puck BEFORE the blue line. the hit was almost at the fucking red line. a legal check would have been at the moment when chara swung for the puck at the blue line NOT two fucking seconds later at the stanchion.

This happens on the other side of the rink by the penalty box, Paci hits the boards maybe falls on his stomach ref arm goes up 2 minute penalty we all move on with our lives. When you look at it over and over, the clock is in the top corner, the play is less then a second. Also, the Molson Center put in more cushioned stantions after the hit. I think Don makes some good points here, however they will probably fall on deaf ears in Montreal. Chara was not the most popular player to begin with in Montreal. The good news out of all of this is that Pacioretty will play this season.

Chara did push him, but whether or not he purposely pushed him into the stantions though is debatable, chara was looking at the puck, he may or may not have seen the stantions. Im not posting this too debate over whether or not he deliberately tried to hurt him cause thats pointless, but i dont think he did this on purpose. Chara isnt like that, doesnt try to injure people, and no im not a bruins fan.

pacioretty last touched the puck BEFORE the blue line. the hit was almost at the fucking red line. a legal check would have been at the moment when chara swung for the puck at the blue line NOT two fucking seconds later at the stanchion.

@jeezuschryst ok so its a late hit that is an interference penalty, yes very true. But you can't blame Chara for where he is on the ice. This happens on the other side of the rink by the penalty box, Paci hits the boards maybe falls on his stomach ref arm goes up 2 minute penalty we all move on with our lives. This is just an example of a normal penalty that happened at the wrong place in the rink, not Chara's fault.

So Montreal fans, after watching the 20 or so similar hits on this video, would you say that all these players tried to do what Chara did? Because overwhelmingly Montreal fans are saying beyond a shadow of a doubt, Chara knew 100% what he was doing there. When you look at it over and over, the clock is in the top corner, the play is less then a second. Also, the Molson Center put in more cushioned stantions after the hit. I think Don makes some good points here, however they will probably fall on deaf ears in Montreal. Chara was not the most popular player to begin with in Montreal. The good news out of all of this is that Pacioretty will play this season.
Also, getting the police involved with this? Give me a break, way to use tax dollars.

@jonjess That may be true, and usually I would love to criticize Cherry; but I'm with him on this one. The fact is that Chara has never tried to hurt anyone and that this hit was completely unintentional. Although I'm a Wings fan, I do like both the Habs and the Bruins. It was Pacioretty in the wrong place at the wrong time and he unfortunately got hurt. All Chara was deserving of on this play was a 2 minute interference call.
