This film would've been so much better had they not swapped Tammy Blanchard for Judy Davis so early on. The time between the last scenes with Blanchard were only a few years before this scene was set. At the time of making 'Meet Me In St Louis', Judy Garland was only about 21, and I can honestly say, Judy Davis barely passes for even 31 here. They should've left Tammy Blanchard in the role for a little longer... maybe til at least Summer Stock. Still, a decent enough film about Judy. :)
