  • Such a great find. Real music right here, people.

  • Their albums are truly something else. 'Third/S.L.' is a tough listen, beautiful but too much pain and anger for one sitting. It's a late-night album for me, like Neil Young's 'Tonight's the Night'. Never be another Big Star.

  • I think just zoning out on the music, and staring at the flashing star almost made me have a seizure.

  • Sounds like Kenny Loggins "Footloose" at the start

  • That's Chilton on mellotron.

  • this is chilton playing all these wicked licks? and whos on organ?

  • @PAULisDEADMANnumber9 Yes, Chilton played all guitars on Radio City.

  • Great Music!!! rest in peace!!!

  • So many thanks. Along with Dwight twilley and Phil Seymour, unsung brilliance.

  • Both #1 Record and Radio City are flawless albums. Thanks for the great music Alex.

  • @dumbangel75

they're all flawless album, actually. :)

  • RIP Alex

  • This is an amazing piece of work. Alex Chilton may you rest peacefully.

  • ~ What you said. 'Radio City' is their GD benchmark. '3rd' be damned. That's pretty fantastic, too.

  • Really great song, best album of the band. Simple but nice idea for the video.

  • I always loved the haphazard production. This LP is genius. I know the first one is ok, but I can't for one, see any real link. In my opinion the first one is a pretty derivative 60's tribute... this is all about a fucked up genius, Alex Chilton. Maybe if was Chilton who died instead of poor Chris Bell, people would realise what a one off he truly was / is.
