  • Mmmm.... Sally Thomsett's bum.

  • before people became morons with obsessions about ghosts and glamourisation of paranoia and introversion

  • lol I like how he rides a motorcycle in this and rides a bicycle and falls off of it on three's company.

  • AAAAAHHH!!! Isn't she just so cute!!!

And STUFF robingay...I mean Robingray100. Probably the sorry gits age!!

  • this show was shite compared to george n midred :p

  • @MrDjc1970 george n mildred v funny. Better than terry and June! but this show was a lot of fun.

  • I am 45 years old and I remember all of these great 1970's shows. The world was better then, I know everyone says that but it is true.

  • @Davewise1965 I believe you. I am 24 years old though, lol.

  • Let me guess, there was an misunderstanding..

  • Ahhhhh!

I remember this , The Sally Likky Likky Thomsett Show.

    Ahhhhh! That's better.

    Cheesy.

  • thank god you brits still have robin(richard o'sullivan), how do u brits think we yanks feel we lost jack(john ritter).

  • @CHARIOS83

Yes, he's still with us, but he is in terrible shape, both healthwise and financially. He's only 65 but he looks 80, and is a complete recluse living in a nursing home.

Alcohol abuse has taken a very heavy toll on him...

  • @fred19992010 Remember the arsehole he played on Doctor in the House?

  • @jsilence418

Yes, I watched one a couple of weeks ago...

  • @fred19992010 I used to know him i lived in the same village he lived in and even at the time of this show he was a bully and a drunk.

  • @tonymontana1974

Well if had tried bullying me I would have given him a couple of slaps and a kick in his balls.

  • @CHARIOS83

Hey, why is it that wnenever I think of John Ritter, the name Cooper comes to mind? What show was that?

  • the american version of robin's nest was three's a crowd.

  • @CHARIOS83 Three's company not crowd :-) (John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt, Suzanne Somers)

  • Ah fantastic days!

  • I love how someone mentioned Three's Company here. That show was just the American version of this one, and The Ropers was the American version of George and Mildred.

  • I would kill to get my hands on Sally......even now!

  • Haven't seen this in a while.

  • Oh my god this is the British (original) version of "Threes Company" ("Man About the House)

  • @viniwear Yep. In fact the very first episode of "Man about the House" is titled.. you guesed it.. 'Three's Company".

  • @rmr2001

And vice-versa...the first episode of "Three's Company" was titled...you guessed it..."Man About The House". :)

  • Wonderful theme... I love it

  • I havn't seen this in years. I used to watch it on ABC tv here in Australia as a young child, along with many other BBC comedies of that time ( not Benny Hill, though. I wasn't allowed to see that ).

  • @yellowbelly

thanks, thought it may be. i heard it was actually in south ken, but i concur that it would be near a studio.

used to walk past thames every day on euston road. RIP great television :(

  • @GimmeBritcoms I wasn't allowed to watch three's company but was still allowed to watch Man About the House!

  • @LeylandNational01 Was this rule based on the quality of the shows?

  • To some degree yes,

  • @zaniac100 ABC shows of the time (SOAP, Three's Company even Charlie's Angels) tended to cause concern for parents of the time with innuendo, jiggly bits etc. Sponsers even pulled ads from the shows as well. There response was probably due in part to that. That and in Canada, British sitcoms were more prevelant in prime time than America and certainly better liked.

  • @LeylandNational01 Interesting. Here in Australia Three's Company actually debuted on the Aust Broadcasting Corp-usually known for quality stuff and British drama and sitcoms. But generally here in the 1970s-80s British comedies were much better regarded than US ones.

  • @LeylandNational01 I have done some Aust TV research on contemporary media: "Soap" was offered for sale to Aust networks but at such an inflated cost no one would buy it. It debuted here c.1978/1979 I think and was repeated several times. No censorship problems with these shows here: sex soap operas The Box and Number 96 had already *finished* their runs here in 1977.

  • @LeylandNational01 BTW You can look up Number 96 on youtube. As a show featuring "sex" it is extremely tame by today's standards. It also featured a lot of comedy... which was quite similar to that seen in Man About the House in some ways.

  • the house at 0:58 anyone know where that is in real life?

  • @GimmeBritcoms

It'll be within walking distance of Euston Road or somewhere in Teddington. Thames TV were notorious in the early 1970's for doing as much location filming near their two studios as possible. In fact the door Sally Thomsett walks out of (and goes past the busker) is the main entrance to Thames' site in Euston Road (since demolished and now the HQ of Santander UK).

  • Huge, huge hit here in Italy. The cast was superb. I prefer the british original rather than the american version Three's Company

  • mmm sally thomsett

  • Comment removed

  • O'Sullivan suffered a stroke late in 2003. He is now living in Brinsworth House, a retirement home for actors and performers in England, run by the Entertainment Artistes Benevolent Fund.

  • Yeah, no one has seen or heard of him in ages...

  • he died

  • His tv career maybe but apparently he's still alive...

  • you are right -dont know why i got the idea he died

  • .........well i hope he's on the mend and enjoying life!!...thanks richard o'sullivan for all your great acting acts over the years!

  • sally Thomsett was the one for me she was in my teenage dreams lol thanks

  • if i was in that flat it would have definatly been sally thomsett i would have chased

  • cashelblue90 Are you for real. You have some really odd comments on here.

  • ahhhhh! the 70s! a fantastic time when women were women and men were men!! and no fucking P.C. BRIGADE!!

  • @plhokko I so agree, I'm a woman btw.

  • Good show copied by the Yanks as...Threes Company.

  • i like the film version of this.

  • paula wilcox was so hot

  • I agree, what the hell happened to her?

  • Me three!

  • I saw Paula Wilcox in a TV play a couple of years ago aged 56 and she still looks great with a nice tight figure.Sally Thomsett didn't look as good sadly.

  • @lewisner are you blind sally thomsett looks amazing for her age so young and better than Paula Wilcox

  • She's in Emmerdale these days

  • cashblue90: Your favourites say everything we need to know about you.

  • sally was a babe .

  • You're clearly a wanker!

  • it seems every fucker reckons there were in this show, you are all clearly deluded!!

  • cashelblue90. Just take a look at the video my dear friend and you will see who is deluded.

  • did he have a threesome?

  • Happily, Richard's health has much improved, and by all accounts he is well and happy. He recently did a DVD commentary for Carry On Teacher and some other TV work.

  • That's good to know

  • Wikipedia has information about O'Sullivan saying that he resides in Brinsworth House.

  • I Believe Richard o'Sullivan is in a nursing home. Dont know how he is though.

  • Loved this programme and Robins Nest. Richard O'Sullivan has not been well for quite a while, does anybody know how he is.

  • Swap Richard O'Sullivan, Paula Wilcox, and Sally Thomsett for John Ritter (RIP), Suzanne Somers, and Joyce DeWitt, take that show to America, and what do you get? "THREE'S COMPANY!!"

  • takes me back

  • You were in Man About The House? Wow, what part did you play?

  • Hi Truegho. I was at the bus stop in the opening credits standing in front of Paula Wilox. I was in the white cardigan with the long brown hair. Best, Melinda.

  • Wow but I must admit my favourite 'guest' performance in these titles is the great understated bit by the bus conductor. Wilcox was my fave lead.

  • Wow. I was in this. Where has the time gone. Richard O'Sullivan was so sweet, Paula Wilcox was very nice and Sally Thomsett was too. Those were the days.
