Being an Australian, I have to say just because the Lebanese are born here and raised here that doesn't necessarilly mean they're going to choose to be Aussie.

I live about an hour Nth of Sydney and its quite amazing how different Immigrants are only that far from Sydney.
Because of the fact the majority have Aussie neighbours, teachers, ppl working in shops ect they quickly settle in and become just like any anyone else (maybe with slightly diff home life).
Compare that with Sydney where they form there own little communities, some who have lived here for years dont even speak the language, and worst of all alot dont even see themself as Aussie.

It has been well known for a thousand years a Muslim is programmed to hate and assail (kill if possible) all others at every opportunity. Based on what I read in letters to newspapers, the people I know and meet, and speakers on radio and television, you're actually in the minority with your opinions on foreigners. We DO want Lebanese people here - because, in fact, multiculturalism is one of Australia's most eminent VALUES. The only prerequisite for being an actual Australian is being born here. There is no "default" Australian culture that everyone has to conform to.

Frankly I feel the stereotype is established due the inherit criminal nature of this community. That is not to say that they are all criminals, this video displays that. However statistically this community is more predisposed to conducting criminal activities. To deny such is to deny fact.

Statistics don't entitle you to refer to them as "inherently" criminal. That implies much more than just figures. You could have simply mentioned the statistic and left that "quip" out. Australian identity is, in fact, about respecting other cultures because we have, for several decades, espoused multiculturalism as one of our society's core values. There is, really, no "standard" Aussie culture - the only one I know of is the Aboriginal culture. Everyone else believes what they want, really.

The Australian identity is not that of multiculturalism, that is simply a political policy employed by our Government. Why is it that all white nations have to adopt multiculturalism, and foreign cultures where as other nations enjoy and preserve their culture?
Your suggestion that Aboriginal 'culture' is the 'standard' culture of Australia is ridiculous, considering there wasn't one sole Aboriginal culture and furthermore in respect to how small a population they represent demographically.
