hi @katKeh, i was doing some research for our group's major project this semester, which is a drawbridge. exactly the one that you made.. (the best one i've seen so far ).. i was wondering.. could you give us some advice, or tips in making this project? we're connecting it in the computer through a parallel port, and will be programming it using assembly language. we' be very glad i you could help us. maybe i could add u on facebook and we can talk there if u'd like... thanks :)
@TheJesuszamora we are using stepper motors to move the bridge and the gates. I suggest using lightweight materials for the moving stuffs (like the bridge..) so that the stepper motor can lift it. We are using the CPU's time system to help us to determine if it is time to raise the drawbridge.
@katKeh oh ok.. nice suggestions. thanks a lot! :) just a few more questions, how many stepper motors did u use? and for the time system.. does that mean that the bridge u made is automatic? like, you dont have to press anything for it to open and close? thank you so much for replying, this really means a lot to us :))
nice project.

@katkeh hi, i was wondering if maybe it was possible if you could send me a diagram of you IC and what resistors and diodes you used?

Ha, Pretty Cool. What did you make this for. Did you do the programing yourself. Your quite talented.

yep. it was our project in school. we did all the programming plus the construction of the prototype.
