1) Caller calls 911.

2) Dispatcher takes call, enters it into computer, CAD will tell them who to send.

3) Dispatcher sends tones.

4) FFs drop what they're doing, and run out to get dressed.

5) They leave the station.

6) arrive on scene.

From call, to them leaving is usually 3 minutes. Then driving time. Don't be so quick to judge if you don't know what you're talking about. :)
