  • dotted lines and dashed lines are two different things. you showed how to make dotted lines ;)

  • I still love TUTVID

  • thanks, so easy to follow on cs5. :P

  • Ok! Got It! Brush tip shape. Damn, you talk fast and makes other to miss the connecting links. You should make an emphasis: ""BRUSH TIP SHAPE". When you click on it - here is the menu what everyone is looking for with Spacing. Now, I'm wrong CS3 has it too. ;-)

  • @SergSpace I didn't reply on purpose I knew you'd get it well done :)

  • My brush presets are all greyed out?

  • C'mon cut the crap just teach.

  • Great tutorial, very well explained. Thank you!

  • well explained, thanks!

  • It does not work for me. CS5

  • Thanks for the tutorial!

However, I just tried to make a dashed line by using a rectangular (not square) brush and found that the direction of the brush doesn't follow the path, e.g. stays horizontal. But the solution is pretty simple.

For those who want to use a rectangular brush too, do this:

    1) Open the "Brush" Window

    2) Go to "Shape Dynamics"

    3) Change the "Angle Jitter"-Control to "Direction" (Drop-Down-Menu)

    4) Done!

Maybe this will help a desperate person out :D

  • @McPhilsen No, still desperate... It helped to change a shape in somewhat but not dotted line.

  • sorry i meant the top left hand corner of your dotted box is uneven, can you explain how to even out the corners, I can't find anything on it at all. Thanks again

  • This is a really good tutorial, but one thing that I can't work out is how to tidy up corners of a dashed or dotted box. The box you have created has 2 dots overlapping at the top right hand corner of the box you created. Can you explain how you can tidy up the corners of a dashed line box so that each corner is the same and evenly spaced. Thanks

  • Thank a lot 4 ur help

  • Hello dude. Is this your last video tutorial. If not then where are your next tutorials. Means Episode 26 and so on..... Please reply. Thank you.

  • WOW, you are awesome bro. Thanks for this and all your vids, you are helpful and you rock man!!

  • I am using CS3 but i do not see the Spacing option when in the Brushes menu area. I only have Master diameter. Please advise?

  • @oggioggi I don't have the spacing option either :/

  • @oggioggi I just had that problem too... you have to click on "Brush Tip Shape" under "Brush Presets" and the box will change and you'll see the spacing option! I know this was posted 11 months ago, but maybe it'll help someone.

  • :D Love the Vids Please keep doing them.

  • I only know basics of Photoshop CS3, thanks so much for posting all these Tutorials!!! Waiting for the next tutorial, is episode 25 the latest one though?? And have you done any tutorials for Illustrator CS3?? Or does anyone know any free beginners tutorial for that?

  • i dont have that part in the menu,

  • You can also find the menu by going to Window>Brushes. Alternatively you can just hit F5.

  • @TouchMyWeenis

me too I don't have it! i have brushes but not the settings menu!

    ---

PS: fixed it by Click on the brush panel options (the little triangle in the upper right corner) and make sure "expanded view" is checked.

  • @numediaweb what version of CS you got? The "expanded view" did not bring Spacing in CS3

  • @TouchMyWeenis

Hi there, how do you change the dots to dashes and how to make text dotted or dashed like letters and numbers? Is there a tutorial?

  • @TouchMyWeenis Great Tutorials!

  • @TouchMyWeenis He meant he does not have it as I do not have it in CS3. It does not matter how you gonna reach this part of menu, there is no Spacing in CS3.

  • Thanks man ;)

  • Thank you very much! Wow, it's complicated for such a simple task. I wouldn't have figured it out myself. Thx again, happy new year!

  • Cool but usless to me. Hope you reach your goal of 1000 sub. Happy 2010.
