  • Addison "Jack" Randall, brother of Republic western star Bob Livingston (The Three Mesquiteers) was killed when his horse ran into a tree, during a chase scene on this serial. Released by Universal in 1945, it showed that serials were on the downhill slide, as evidenced by the lackluster plot and excessive use of stock footage. Milburn Stone was a contract actor at Universal. Playing a heavy in this one, he had played the hero in the Great Alaskan Mystery (1944).
