im trying to ID a spectrum game where you controlled round robot heads that looked like zeroids out of terrahawks, there were different ones to control, one wore sunglasses. help please!
@ghostface2006 Hi thanks for watchin g ,ate. I do remember the game you are talking about I think, but sorry I dont know the name of it... bummer! I hate that too, I know a game thaty I used to play that had a baby at the start and you had to choose a toy, but for the life of me I dont know what it is?? Sorry! Try the Retro Gamer magazine forums?
I still have a working Spectrum+2. Watching this makes me feel ambivalent. I learnt to make games in machine code on my Spectrum, multi-coloured scrolling games even (most scrolling games were only two-tone weren't they), but alas I was a bit too late to make any money out of it. Didn't get good enough until about 1994, so I never made a penny. Typical of my life :(
@1simonmatthews thats a reallbummer mate.. we could all be talking about your games now? I guess it wasnt to be.. the Dizzy games were amazing for there time weren't they ;o)
@interghost I didn't play the Dizzy games that much to be honest. I had one free with a magazine - the same one you mention in your video I think. I didn't really know what you were supposed to do, couldn't get the hang of it. Looking at your video, I don't think I ever would've worked it out! I liked Wonderboy the best, that game was in a league of it's own. Can't believe how young those kids who made the game looked though, and the two guys from the marketing company!
@interghost Hi, I just uploaded a demonstration of one of the Spectrum platform games I made. If you have time, check it out. I think it looks pretty good, considering I left school with no qualifications. It's on my channel. Let me know what you think! :)
I am actuially interested in picking up an old Spectrum system just because it has all the original ports of the Dizzy games.
I was also a fan of the NES game as my grandma found it for me at a yard sale when I was a kid. Later I tried the Genesis port of Fantastic Dizzy and surprisingly it was easier even though there were more stars to collect.
The only part that was harder than the NES version was climbing Zak's tower at the end. It was harder to dodge his magic on the Genesis.
ha ha... yeah right, it is a challenge isnt it. But I think the whole layout and look of TI Dizzy is better and I completed TI Dizzy way before I did the 1st Dizzy game!
DIZZY ROCKED!!! I loved this game so much! I rented it with my Cousin when I was 12 or so for the NES. I went back to the place I rented it when I was an adult and told the guy there that if he still had it I would pay whatever he wanted for it. Sadly, he did not have it. I have an emulator and the game on my computer now though :D
Yeah it was a great game. This version was the ZX Spectrum version. But I dont think you had them over there? The NES one was cool too. Thanks for watching! ;o)
Good good... please subscribe as if you like Dizzy I am working on reviewing all of the others too. Including the spin off games like FAST FOOD and also the unofficial speccy Dizzy games for Russia etc. Cheers for watching! ;o)
Yeah, that green bridge is a pain in the arse! Its a close one for me between Treasure Island and Fantasy World.. but I personally like Treasure Island Dizzy! Thanks for watching! ;o)
Yeah, I found that the people who put Speccy games on youtube tend not to know much about the games they are playing? So I look into them before the review and also I only review the games that I myself used to play when I was younger! Cheers for watch ;o)

Yeah mate the Speccy is really worth picking up and the games go for a really cheap price now! So check on eBay for one? (or use emulation?)
I never played the NES or MegaDrive versions but they do look cool...
Thanks for watching and for the comments cheers ;o)

The first Dizzy's the only one I can complete. It's a beautiful game.
I'm surprised to hear you like Treasure Island Dizzy the best. I mean, one life. ONE SMEGGING LIFE!!!!

The Dizzy series is awesome! 1991 was the first time I played Dizzy. I was immediately hooked.

I agree, easily the best series of games on the Speccy! (Treasure Island Dizzy Review coming very soon!!)

I have NO idea why you PM'ed me this, but this looks really... err... creepy D: Atleast at the strange looking graphics. Exactly... what is it?
This looks incredibly hard, and lonely with those black backgrounds D:
