  • Regardless of the fact that it is a Sci-Fi movie and the script is cliched sometimes, there is an interesting message coming here. In many aspects of life, limits are often self-impossed. Only by acknowledging the fact that those limits are merely imaginary, a person can achieve self development =)

  • bendover

  • if the spoon doesnt exist and the child is bending his mind, how does neyo see the spoon bending? shouldnt it only be bending in the child's mind because its only his reality?

  • @ShirtOffLJay its beaces the whole world is fake and not realy there its just a computer

  • Reality is only what you percieve. You make your reality.

  • Why doesn't the spoon bend ???????

  • @laurascyld1967 there is no spoon to bend. . .

  • if we look into our lives..we experience the world with our 5 senses...sight, smell, sound, touch and taste interpreted by our brain(mind perhaps)...question urself if the whole existence itself is in ur mind ;) now tats the concept of buddhism perhaps.

  • in Matrix .you bend spoon..in Soviet Russia spoon bends you!!!:D

  • Neo goes to see the Oracle, (a program in the matrix. Knows everything) and while waiting, encounters this child.

  • Can anyone explain this scene for me? I don't really understand it.

  • @Agusloquillo jesus fucking christ, NEW MEETS A LITTLE BALD KID, THE KID GIVES HIM A SPOON AND TELLS HIM THAT THE SPOON ISNT REAL WHAT DON'T YOU GET?!?!?!

  • @D3r3ct0rsCut

-_- I see you don't get it either. Chill out, dude.

  • @Agusloquillo joking dipshit

  • Uri Gellar Jr

  • What if this boy sees the Ginosaji?

  • "There is no spoon, Mr. Anderson."

  • The essence of buddhism explained in one scene. Brilliant

  • @21h040349160 explain yourself lol. Because I didnt gdt what he said right there, therefore don't understand thr essence of budhism lol..

  • @Otimel1022 Um, dude, I'd love to, but it would take a bit too much time and too much space :) That's why I am so happy about The Matrix explaining it in one scene. If you make a little research by yourself, you won't be disappointed :)

  • @21h040349160 I'm a muslim, and learning about other religions really fascinates me..

  • @Otimel1022 Same here. Always discover something to think about, right? :)

  • @Otimel1022 I don't know about budhism. But I think the reality is, is that we're all interconnected. Everything and everyone is one. So really, there is no spoon, there is no self, there is only the oness. Or nothingness. Youtube "Dr Quantum Double Slit Experiment" , quite interesting.

  • HULK LOVES BEND SPOONS! :D

  • "it's not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself." is that little kid calling Neo gay?

  • Little smartarse

  • This bears a striking resemblance to telekinesis (duh, spoon bending) it is possible though, I bent a steel dowel rod at a 30 degree angle.

  • woah

  • the spoon is a ly!!!

  • What kind of weak ass grown up cant bend a spoon. I bend those shits all the time just trying to scoop out some frozen ice cream from a container.

  • wow i had a lucid dream and tried to jump through a wall... didn't worked

    now i know why ^^

  • @Hellrun1

I had the same problem! Now I know how to walk through them. I discovered that my dreamwalls are made of gum.

Don't give up! I'm sure you'll fix that problem soon.

  • 0:34 xD

  • In the words of Theodore Logan: "Whoa! That feat was most totally egregious!"

  • @senningenin129; Wyld Stallyns Rule!

  • but will it blend?

  • Do not try to grow hair, that is impossible.

  • @Every1Tubes your mind bends funny

  • Neo is thinking "Shame I got all dressed up and cute only to be told off by some bald kid!" Sorry I know this scene is meant to be "deep" but this is what I thought when I saw the movie...

  • KIDS GOT MAD EARTHBENDING SKILLS

  • say that to the Ginosaji

  • Ever wonder about The Truth?

    Check my channel vid.

It all starts from there . . .

  • @Switch2021 No it doesnt

  • "science has involved in the perceptual enterprise , not primarily in gaining knowledge .. Though knowledge appears .. It's just a byproduct - David bohm "

  • you get it? I forget!

  • Try to realize the truth:

    You don't have a girlfriend.

Then realize it is not her that you fuck it is only yourself.

  • Dude! It's the Avatar! Only he is a spoon bender?

  • "its not the spoon that is bending, it is only yourself", lol that would actually make a great insult xD

  • 10 people couldn't bend the genosaji's spoon.

  • there is no comment.

  • the spoon is a lie

  • This video explains life as it is..

  • "Do not try to bend the girl. That's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth... there is no girl"

"You fucking with me?" -cyberreality punches-

  • This is a holographic universe , 3 dimentional holograpic picture is processed by the senses of the brain at 1 tenth of a second and experienced as reality. how many of us know that an atom is 99% empty space.

  • @freethinker4you

how many of us knows that is not space that makes up for the mass, but the force between atoms ;) 3 little particles keeps up the whole universe as we know it, and they are so far that you would not believe how hard is their electric and gravitational strength :)

  • @2frikkincraze

there is no such thing called one individual atom, please search in you tube for " double slit experiment"

  • @freethinker4you

Since when physics changed? atoms gets the most stable config when they are in pairs, but this happens only for gas elements (h2, o2 and so on); otherwise atoms are single entities.

Then in nature is hard to find single atoms because the tend to associate with other elements to form stable compounds (like oxides and such) so they can fill the outer octet; but here we are not talking about this; we are talking about the single atom for simplicity.

    please check a school book.

  • @2frikkincraze

science is always subject to change. Mind is the matrix of all matter.

please also read "self aware universe by amit goswami". materialistic existence is just a mirage.nowadays science had evolved and matured alot. those stuffs not available in school books.

there are two ways to understand nature as it functions, done by this buddhist kid 1 . meditation. 2 meditation

    (buddhi means mind)

who ever uses mind is a buddha,

also read about "david bohm" , he may help you alot.

  • @2frikkincraze Physics does not change, but our perception of it changes. When I was a kid in elementary school,I was taught that the world is composed of atoms. Now 15 years later kid are taught it is composed of energy. The perception of the scientific community has changed.

  • @SnitchSeeker

Science is immutable, the 3 principles of thermodynamics are still true; what changes is that we know more and more so our theories changes....we were thinking that the earth was the center of the universe because of ignorance, not because our perception :)

My last book of physics said that we have protons, neutrons and electrons as base for the matter, then they found that each of these is made of sub particles...the more we learn the better the theory become :)

  • You know, I was going to eat soup for dinner, but...

    *Put on shades*

    There is no spoon.

    YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

  • @Phelan666 Use a straw, YEEEEAH!.....

  • Try to see the diference between a cup and a tea in it.

The you'll understand what he meant that there is no spoon (or cup or tea for that matter).

Nearly all around us is only a mind construct we created with our minds.

  • It's like a mini-yoda...

  • 9 did not bend the spoon.

  • This movie is all about buddhism.

  • @JMJforever no its not, its about quamtum physics.

  • @JOSUE5401 yeah well buddhism and quantum physics goes

quite well together if you have the time to study both

  • @JMJforever yeah I suppose so!

  • there is no spoon

  • I can do that with my dick

  • Buddha Kid: "Then you'll see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself"

Neo: "Sorry kid, *puts on sunglasses* i dont bend that way" YEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

  • @lankyman0990 lol you're stupid

  • i think the guy who made this movie cut off his own nuts or something weird like that...but awesome movie

love how it mocks the eastern bullshit religions

  • @TruBlueRepublicanSue he's not mocking them. He's just incorporating some metaphysical beliefs.

  • impossible? *bend it with bear hands*

  • The spoon is a lie.

  • I am showing this to you.

  • the mind had became slave of its EGO. ego never allows us to see the truth , it creates all forms of illusions which mind perceives as reality, when mind is let to go of the illusions , you are free to witness the truth . give freedom to yourselves

  • Everyone the Matrix is just a movie. Whoever actually thinks this could be real or takes it seriously is an idiot. just enjoy the special effects and don't dig too deep.

    -Sincerely,

    The Architect

  • @Theriot6592 thank you i know it's just a movie everybody get's all hardcore about it.

  • And... The student was enlightened.

  • Conversation I once had:

    Friend:"There is no cake"

Me:"There is no spoon and the cake it a lie, get it right!"

  • The nine people who disliked this thought the spoon was real

  • parapsychology..

  • There is no spoon, only Zuul.

  • If you realise that it is not the spoon who bends, then you will be able to free yourself from the Ginosaji

  • spuwn hate it stfu

  • There is no spoon, it's just an illusion like the rest of the Matrix world. It's literal, not a metaphor. This is the teaching of Mahayana Buddhism, ie what the Dalai Lama teaches. Reality is not computer-generated though, it's mind-generated. Hence "The Secret".

  • @j00ztube Exactly what i meant in my comment, but that guy didn't get me..

  • The first matrix had the most in depth reflection of our world, and express the problems of today.

Like someone who has mentioned before it's a metaphorical display.

To truly understand the matrix you understand our world. It's difficult to decipher the true meaning of some scenes or dialogue, however it all has some relation. Seriously if you truly have understood the concept, then it is so you are "unplugged" from this world. Some would call it Enlightenment others well never find it...

  • Can someone elaborate on what this child is trying to explain?

  • @PureInsanity00 This kid is explaining that, the spoon doesnt exist, because the spoon is part of the matrix which is just a computer generated "dream world". therefore there is no spoon, which means you can actually bend it because its not real. So to bend an imaginary spoon you need to make yourself think that the spoon that doesnt exist is bending, and thus the spoon bends. It is really confusing but after watching this film like 8 times you start to understand the concept.

  • @PureInsanity00 He is talking about the monetary system. It is impossible to "bend" the market economy so as to erase problems like famine and poverty because of the profit motivation. It must be understood that market economy is not a natural science and money is just an abstraction, not a natural resource ("there is no spoon"). Once this is understood, people can realize that it is their world view and materialistic values that need to "bend" if Earth's problems are ever going to be solved.

  • @TOIJALANABC O.O dude...you're totally wrong .. he is just saying you how to bend a spoon lol.

No joke, it's really like this...

  • @8CoreyTaylor8 The whole movie is full of critique on the society placed in a metaphoric environment, most famous of which is the pill scene. If you can't see it, you've missed the entire point of the film.

  • @TOIJALANABC I was talking about this scene only ... i got the movie , by the way you missed the point of this part of the movie :D .

  • @PureInsanity00 Neo and the spoon are one and the same: bend yourself and therefore bend the spoon. The matrix is everything - a bit like the unified field and the human race - we are all one.

  • type it on warcraft 3 for infinite mana

    thereisnospoon

    LOL

  • try to realise the truth , everything around you is YOU !!

  • Fighting on YouTube comment boards is like the special olympics, no matter who wins your still a retard.

  • @Sportsguyy18 I don't see here this relates to the subject, but still, thanks for the interest.

  • @Sportsguyy18 . You are so so right. Comments on here should be limited to 2 lines max. It would save the servers at Youtube a lot of uneccessary hosting! lol

  • @sailbeyondthesunset you used 3 lines to explain that...

  • @xpoondiggy of blow my friend. lol

  • Do not try to change a world you wrongly perceive as real , instead you must change yourself, in order to understand the truth behind it ...

  • @doldei How does one truly grasp and apply the concept of the lack of the spoon ?

  • @MrSinnerstefan What spoon ?

  • @doldei if there is no spoon, what does neo percieve with his eyes ?

  • @MrSinnerstefan The spoon is only a signal sent to his brain by some machine, that's what the whole matrix is :p. The spoon doesn't exist in the real life so it's not real, there is no spoon.

    Get it?

  • @CorvetteBG ye ye

  • @doldei man that is deep do you mind if i use this quote ???

  • @DishWasher2003 It is yours as much as mine ...

  • why do people see neo as a hero? he killed police officers(civilians) He probably killed millions when he tried to safe trinity, but people see him as a hero? His ego is the problem!

The biggest scam is that he cant die! A terrorist with super power.. great..

    Now please explain..

  • @timesplitters333 this is true. However, I have no problem with large egos - let them have them

  • but i like spoons....

  • to understand this clip , one should have exposure to quantum physics

  • watch this video ;)

  • NO MATTER NO SPOON !!

    WATCH THIS VIDEO :)

  • NO MATTER NO SPOON !!

  • Buddhist philosofy.

Do not try to change the world. It's impossible. Instead... you must to change your mind.

  • @mmunis its impossible to change the world? what a stupid statement is that!

If buddhist think like that, then no wonder they are slaves!

  • @timesplitters333 - Can you change the world? What ilusion, man! First of all, you must to change yourself. Did you realy understood the Matrix philosophy? When Neo findout the reality behind the fake world, did he changed the world beside outside? Let watch the movie again and tell me then what you understood, man.

  • @mmunis so you want me to change the view that i can change the world? So you want me to accept that i am a slave for life? why?

  • @timesplitters333 - The world that you see it's just a presentation from your mind. There is not sighted without bystander. When you see something, you are influencing. If everything is based on experience from your mind, how can you change the world beside outside?

  • @timesplitters333 - Slaves? You are a slave of your mind! If you don't know what is inside of you, how can you know what is outside? How can you define what is reality if everthing is a presentation from your mind? Every tought your mind expose have an energy that control your actions. If you don't control your mind, you are a slave. Think about it.

  • @mmunis i am a slave of my mind, but buddiest that say:>>its impossible to change the world?<<,are free?

Great.. now let me die in peace...... wait a moment no way!!

So you dont see people who can change the world?

  • @timesplitters333 - I see great people who did great things. But what really change? Everything is a constant change. There is not one thing on this world that remains the same by one second. You can change the state, but not forever.

  • @timesplitters333 - Morfeus said to Neo: "The Matrix is impossible to explain. You must to see by yourself." Ans you ask me: "How can I see it?" - I answer: "By meditation."

Just do it and you'll understant better what I'm trying to say.

  • @mmunis you want me to see myself or what?

freedom and peace is out of war and blood... thats the world outside...

natives know how europeans treated them, and you think they are free....

  • @timesplitters333 - I noticed I'm talking about somethings beyond you can imagine. You can see only by a macro-logic. Free you ego and everything will be free. Just do it. But, to really understand that, you must to find it by yourself. Like I told you yesterday, the meditation is a way. Try it.

  • @mmunis well i dont see it by my eyes, since i have no power..

Lets look at history? what do you see? People cant change the world? meditation is you way forward, not mine...

I see you point, its meditation... not hard to figure out

  • @timesplitters333 - watch?v=9l-YYqjhVi4

  • @timesplitters333 Ahahahah. The europeans? How about USA and the middle east? Oh , that's a freedom war on terror and homeland security ...

  • @doldei what about america and the middle east?

  • @timesplitters333 You tell me ...

  • @doldei its not for their freedom and our freedom? If you want safety then their is no turning back, you cant just leave iraq, when you have destroyed their government and social structure...

Mccain was right, when he said that we need to stay in iraq for 100 of years.

and i ask again, what about america and the middle east? You cant just leave what you have build for many years, what will the world think of america if we leave?

  • That kid looks like Aang

  • NO MATTER NO SPOON !!

  • At least let us see neo bend the spoon

  • This is a lesson in Lateral thinking with a hint of Taoism thrown in. All things are one so there is no spoon, only a mass of interelated objects that belong to the same source. So if the spoon is a part of the source, it is the same as the source, so if Neo becomes a part of the source he will realise that he and the spoon are one and not individual objects, or so the thinking goes.

  • @SpeedNfsRsFfs and on what do you base this opinion? don't get me wrong, if anyone could believe that it's me, but some sort of evidence is required.

  • The spoon scene prepares Neo for the fight later, where everyone shoots at him before the car chase, and the bullets fall on the floor.... becuse there are no bullets.

  • I'm completely indebted to the people who have made, written, and created the enlightening things. Thank god for my youth, even though I finally watched this this year. I'm seventeen lol Men had books and tomes for ages, oral lore; now we have movies, tv, and even the occasional video game to help broaden our mind.

  • eh, thats subjective. we read ads everywhere we go, articles online, write our own lore in school when people way back when couldnt even read. (being able to read is a recent advancement in our culture) I'm not worried over the books and whatnot, but technology is messing with human interaction and socializing. that's whatll make us dumb and narrow minded cause we'll lack the ability to put ourselves in others shoes if we're never conversing or getting as close people did in the olden days

  • @lifeatlast26 Yeah, I agree. I think I wrote too enthusiastically, on account of the movie. Technology is great, marvelous. But, people use technology to suffice for what they cannot do and brings a greater gap between our mind and body. Those who do great things bring those together, indebted to the machine which helps us, not just using it as a means without an emotion. We are too open in our mind on things now, we can't share our mind with the world all the time, we dont think then, you know?

  • the people who want to do share make others who are arent comfortable sharing feel awkward, and when the other people feel awkward the only way to get out is to make fun, which makes the person who's rightfully trying to convey thoughts never want to again.

  • im only 18. i complemented this freshman when i was a junior saying she looked cute one day (im not ugly)couple of her friends called me a creeper cause they cant handle normal human interaction anymore. so much dumb shit like random picture comments by other girls on facebook and myspace is being posted where everyone can see it... in a reality isnt all that real. even though a "YOURE SO PRETTY!" on fb or myspace doesnt mean shit theyd rather have that from a friend than a u're cute from a guy

  • @lifeatlast26 yeah, i dont really compliment chicks that often anymore.

  • You think her friends called you a creep because they can't handle normal human interaction? I doubt that. I think you were just being creepy. Telling a friend she looks pretty is different from approaching a younger girl, whom you don't know that well, and telling her that you think she's cute. Sounds like you're the one who can't handle normal human interaction. It also sounds like you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • @anotherstalker

troll, go fuck yourself. i did know her, she was in my class and started to sit next to me on purpose and flirted with me on the phone, in person, and in class... i had been talking to her for like 2 months before i said she was cute. you dont know what they fuck YOURE talking about.

  • @lifeatlast26 Troll? I'm not trolling.. I was just offering my opinion, man. It sounds like you were being creepy is all I thought. I wasn't trying to piss you off. It sounds like you're trying to defend it so much, though. Insecure much? You don't have to convince me, man. LOL I don't think she's that into you cuz you sound a little more than creepy to be honest. Leave her alone, bro.

  • @anotherstalker still replying? bro, she was this kid in my grades sister. i didnt want to do anything with her though so i told her she was cute but nothing was gonna happen, then her friends bitched at me the next day. how is that creepy

  • @lifeatlast26 Just leave her the fuck alone! Next time you think about gettin all creepy and shit... just walk away. Stay the hell away from my kids, creep.

  • @anotherstalker How is it creepy ?

You simply dodged his question and said "just stay away" without actually saying why. Yes you are a troll.

  • definitely gonna see it with the next few generations. just being able to stay in touch with social networking is gonna fuck things up. now i dont have to look for girls anymore, i just check out my facebook page and see who's posting. you know what thatll do to marriages in the future? knowing theres always a couple more hookups on your friends list just incase you're in the mood. its gonna get bad bro

  • @lifeatlast26 chill dude, technology is not bad, its us who are addicted to it,

it is not only technology, but we should always be conscious about what you are doing!!!

you need to relax , try using technology,or any other thing for that matter without attaching yourself to it, and being fully aware of what your doing.

don't let anything carry you away or control you....................

  • i love that scene :DD

  • scoobyy

  • im trying to comprehend this line but its killing me...

could someone please be kind enough to explain this 2 me? no haters please....
