Time Lord NES Stage 4

I remember playing this game as a kid. I only made it to the Western level but I know my brother made it to this level at least. I don't think he ever beat it though. I guess this is one of those "Nintento hard" games.

There's just too much shit to fight on this level. I played this game back in college and after futile attempts we said "piss on this effin' game". I'm glad it was a rental. Brings back memories, though...

You know it might be easier to get the throwing knives and then go for the first orb. That's what I did.  Beats the hell out of trying to jump just right.

I had this game when I was younger and this was the level I could NEVER get past.  It was one hell of a difficult game.

I thought u had to jump off the 2nd or third step to get that hard orb at 3:52

OMG i spent ages as a kid trying to get past the bit at 3:52...! I'm cracking up watching you try again and again to get that damn orb (laughing out of empathy!)

@jamesgfilms Lol. It is pretty funny to see someone attempt something and fail miserably. But I think it would have been even funnier if I had done commentary over it.

How do you start this stage with 4 lives?  I've never gotten past this stage because I never had enough.

I used save-states sadly. I remember making to this point, but I only had 2 lives without save states.

Well save-states are basically like saving a game, but it saves it at the EXACT moment you save it. For instance, if you jump and hit the save state button in midair, it'll save everything at that point. So when you load, you'll be in mid-air at the time you saved it. Hope this made sense.

Your supposed to throw the knives at that orb. Not jump and glitch it. haha But never knew you could glitch it.

If you get 5(or 10, I don't remember) fish from the gulls, one drops an orb. And also, if you hold down the attack button you 'pose' and you cant be hurt until you actually swing the sword and end your 'posing' stance.

Got through this stage for the first time today. next time you go through, hit that "tricky orb" with a throwing knife, and it falls down. lol. No need for fancy jumping.

Aside from killing you off one hit before he was dead, what's so hard about the clam? It hit you twice or so. lol.

The problem is when it does hit. 2 hits and you're dead. Other than that, timing your hits is a pain in the ass as well.
