  • @zholyrebel Oh thanks for catching that... I guess I forgot to type in the carrots! Ooops. Thank-you!

  • @Avrilxxxmac Ha! Sheep is facing (um, let me think now...) towards the right, looking out the kitchen window. I will include him in a vid sometime soon. LoL!

  • yummy yeller juice. say, how close to the chicken coop are ya?? giggles. waves~~

  • @crosspecans well its is sort of yeller (lol) - but a greenish yeller. : )

  • I read someplace recently that raw Spinach and Kale both have a chemical that interferes with thyroid somehow... They (whomever "they" were) said that it's best to lightly cook or steam those two first, before adding to a smoothie or juice... Lemme see if I can find those articles again...

  • @kastnmagic yes, kale is a "goitrogen"

  • One of my books says carrot greens are toxic so I stopped juicing the green tops, but love the Beet greens.Of all my juices I never put oranges in them .I will have to try that.

  • @DianneRawGirl Carrots are in the family of Apiaceae (umbellifers), many other members of the family are highly poisonous, but not carrot. The tops of the carrots are loaded with potassium which can make them bitter, so the use of them in food is limited.

  • @DianneRawGirl The tops are antiseptic and can be juiced and used as a mouthwash. The leaves do contain furocoumarins that may cause allergic contact dermatitis from the leaves, especially when wet. Later exposure to the sun may cause mild photodermatitis.

  • @DianneRawGirl THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS POISONOUS - it will only affect susceptible people with allergies to the plant. Some people have the same reaction to yarrow, ragwort, chamomile etc.

  • Looks yummy!
