great song it is a tragedy the movement split there is some great historical stuff to download about the republican movement before the split you can download copies of the united irishman for 1957 1966 and 1969 at the saorsie website just go to saorsie and then archives very interesting and nostalgic beir bua
Its songs like these that that put to shame the lack of action from the south,i have often thought the Republican`s in the North are twice the people than those of the rest of Ireland.
@tipp1959 What because we decided not to pick a fight with someone who would blast us into the next centuary. You lot are more then welcome to come to the south...........
@tipp1959 Was the Omaha bombing courage? It takes more courage to not use guns when your trying to stop the guy with the guns. I hate the British government for occupying the north but I will have patience with the peace work.
Interesting that the mother of a leading INLA figure would be singing this...about an OIRA hero. As a Yank who was there in the 70's & who ended up with friends on both sides of that split, I've always felt that the OIRA/INLA split was far more destructive to the ultimate goal of A 32 COUNTY WORKERS REPUBLIC, than the 69/70 Provo split was....any discussion on this?
True for you, marketmade. And Margaret had a grand voice altogether. Reminds me a bit of Kathleen Largey. I will post another song by Margaret soon. I wonder, is she still alive?

It takes 10 days to get authority 2 wipe out an Al Queda terrorist. 10 mins to do a supposedly IRA supporter. Work it out?
