Melanie went in a gas station at 1 am (I think).. she was stalked by this stranger and he asked for a ride she said no and she bought cheetos and milk and after she left the store the dude was still stalking her. It appeared on the camera that she left safety. She was going to her boyfriend apartment but she didn't show up when he woke up. A few days later, a camera from another store caught the same dude that was stalking her dragging a body in some trees and setting it on fire that was melanie

After watching the TV special, I think of the times when I was single, living in New Orleans and would leave home late at night to get a Diet Coke. I knew better being that both of my parents were police officers. This incident is so unfortunate. Her parents spoke about her a few nights ago in our church it was amazing. They went through such a hard time, but by speaking about the type of person that Melanie was, they inspire so many other people.
Her story tells us that we should find a passion and live our lives to the full. You never know what tomorrow may bring.
I never knew Melanie, but I was a part of the youth choir in Northern Ireland that she visited. Since her death all I have heard is good things about her. Tonight, her parents spoke about how strong her faith was and how talented and beautiful she was. I wish I had heard her and her choir sing and praise the Lord, but I never did because I was too lazy to leave the house. If there's one thing I've learnt it's that we should live our lives before it's too late to live them.
For the record.... Melanie did not willing give him a ride. She told him no in the store when he asked. It is on the video. He left the store. She left a few minutes later. Then disappeared.
I am taking Crimial Justice classes at UNT and the lead investigator in Melanie's case, his name was Gregg Fraid, came to talk to us about her case. It was so interesting how they were about to backtrack and find out what happend.
Mel and I grew up together from the time I was about 5 until I moved away for high school. Even when we were just little kids, Melanie always had a very bright personality and lit up any room she walked into. I'll never forget the times we shared together. She will be greatly missed. I only wish her killer could have gotten the death penalty for what he did to her, but like Mel's parents, I too believe that God will give him the punishment he deserves. RIP Mel.

I also just watched the ABC special and feel very sad for the haneous crime that was committed against Melanie and her family.Ernesto should rot in jail and not be able to appeal his conviction. I also feel bad for his mother just like Melanie's parents did because she did not intentionally raise a monster. I wish I could have known Melanie before tonight and in a different way. I hope Melanie's boyfriend doesn't blame himself cause he shouldn't. Melanie R.I.P and enjoy entertaining all above.

I just saw the special on ABC, I think it was primetime. She was very beautiful with a magnetic smile. I can't imagine the horror she endured. I just hope she was completely dead when her body was burned. I almost cried when I heard her boyfriend talking about how he blamed himself for not being there to protect her. Its heartbreaking, she was a sweetheart.

I too watched the ABC special, and found myself in tears. As a parent myself I can not imagine the pain and suffering one goes thru when they lose a loved one. My prayers are with you all. To her loving boyfriend, I hope you have found some sort of peace, it was not your fault. To her parents, you have done a wonderful job keeping Melanie's memory alive. So sorry for your loss.

Melanie went in a gas station at 1 am (I think).. she was stalked by this stranger and he asked for a ride she said no and she bought cheetos and milk and after she left the store the dude was still stalking her. It appeared on the camera that she left safety. She was going to her boyfriend apartment but she didn't show up when he woke up. A few days later, a camera from another store caught the same dude that was stalking her dragging a body in some trees and setting it on fire that was melanie

After watching the TV special, I think of the times when I was single, living in New Orleans and would leave home late at night to get a Diet Coke. I knew better being that both of my parents were police officers. This incident is so unfortunate. Sometime we are in our own little world and don't think of the potential danger that we may put ourselves in.
I send my prayers of healing for this family. She will truly be missed by friends and family. Remember God is a healer and a comforter.

Primetime took me to this video of her. She was an innocent person just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Females must stay alert at all times. Follow what your heart says to do. If you feel uncomfortable then something is not right. Seek help don't be afraid to call the police assistance even when you are in a store or before you leave the store. Keep your phone in your hand and mace if you can. Don't answer strangers questions keep looking around you and don't go out by yourself.

I just watched the special on Primetime, too. She seemed like such a beautiful, kindhearted girl. As soon as the show ended I snuck in my daughters room, and gave her a kiss while she slept. My prayers are with her family. Thank you for sharing your daughters story.

Watching the ABC special now. What a beautiful girl. This is SO unfortunate and sad. Ernesto is so obviously guilty. You can tell this girl is a sweetheart just by looking at her eyes. To her boyfriend - I truly hope you have found peace. Please don't blame yourself.

My friend and I here never knew her, but I remember seeing her sing as part of the choir when she came to NI
Her parents spoke about her a few nights ago in our church it was amazing. They went through such a hard time, but by speaking about the type of person that Melanie was, they inspire so many other people.
Her story tells us that we should find a passion and live our lives to the full. You never know what tomorrow may bring.

I never knew Melanie, but I was a part of the youth choir in Northern Ireland that she visited. Since her death all I have heard is good things about her. Tonight, her parents spoke about how strong her faith was and how talented and beautiful she was. I wish I had heard her and her choir sing and praise the Lord, but I never did because I was too lazy to leave the house. If there's one thing I've learnt it's that we should live our lives before it's too late to live them.

For the record.... Melanie did not willing give him a ride. She told him no in the store when he asked. It is on the video. He left the store. She left a few minutes later. Then disappeared.

I am taking Crimial Justice classes at UNT and the lead investigator in Melanie's case, his name was Gregg Fraid, came to talk to us about her case. It was so interesting how they were about to backtrack and find out what happend.

Mel and I grew up together from the time I was about 5 until I moved away for high school. Even when we were just little kids, Melanie always had a very bright personality and lit up any room she walked into. I'll never forget the times we shared together. She will be greatly missed. I only wish her killer could have gotten the death penalty for what he did to her, but like Mel's parents, I too believe that God will give him the punishment he deserves. RIP Mel.

Yes she is with Zac Efron at 3:24. She was big on theater and she was in a lot of the school plays. She was also part of Theater Arlington so she had the chance to meet various famous actors.

She was nice enough to give some random fat gross mexican a ride ( something I would'nt do) and that sick disgusting bastard rapes her then strangles her then burns her body?!?!
