I have a question, i replaced my shaker 500 HU in my 05 mustang with a kenwood deck but theres no power going to my door subs, whats wrong?

@jipps36 Probably have the wrong wiring harness. The shaker wiring harness takes RCA's from your headunit and sends them to the door subs.

Using this video + 2005-2009 Ford Mustang Speaker Replacement How-To Guide and How To: Amp Install (w/ Pics! 56k warning) from mustang forums I was able to replace the Shaker 500 system (kept door subs) powered my new components with a trunk mounted amp. The Kenwood KDC-HD545U head unit I have lets me control the volume, low pass filter freq, and phase sent to the Shaker subs.  The wiring harness provides remote amp turn on and line level outs for the Shaker subs.

hi i am trying to install an aftermarket headunit in my 08 v6 mustang, i followed all these steps and wired the headunit and installed it. problem is the new headunit wont turn on, i know it works because i hard wired it to the battery and it worked fine, i have tried 3 different wiring harnesses and have the same problem. when i reinstalled the factory headunit the factory headunit worked just fine, is there any thing extra you had to do to get your pioneer headunit to work?

I have a 2007 with the Shaker 1000 and a Z120BT. It is currently using the Kicker /Shelby 4.1amp and speaker upgrade.

Can I ditch this PAC C2R-FRD1 harness for the normal Metra one? This makes too much clutter.

Hey, sorry random question hoping you know.

So some guy installed a different antena into my mustang and upon him doing so the entire section for my A/C doesn't light up, work, or come on at all. Would you know the wiring on how to do so, I believe he just disconnected something by mistake. Thanks.

It actually looks like it may be the step 5 process, but not too sure at moment. Will check duing daylight.

@CaptDeanSierra Yes, It would be Step 5 and 6, both of those plugs are for the A/C system.

Did you use a harness such as metra or scosche for the AM head unit install? There are three connections coming from the car but only two on the harness. What happens with the third (middle sized) plug, what is it for??

@j5ulio That third plug is for the Aux input in the center console, it's no longer used.
