@TheEvilflea i know it was an audy murphy movie that the boys had all ready seen and they left early. i just can't recall which film it was. the film follows the book closely, but there are some changes.

in the book the film they went to see was not red river. it was an audie murphy film. i think it was the kid from texas. the boys had all ready seen it and left early. if i remember correctly. it has been many years since i read the book. please...can someone refresh my memory? thanks! john
