How did the prices get so high? Easy. When it became easier to get a loans demand went up. When demand rises. Prices rise.
If the prices of these homes were reasonable you wouldn't have so many people kicked out of there homes. These banks that gave these loans designed the system so that mortgages would rise and rise until people could not afford it. People who started off paying 700/month were now paying (owing) 3000/month. And at the same time these banks were putting in securities that would bet against these people to be able to pay for their mortgages...

These securities were like gambling. If the house was foreclosed the banks would get money off the gamble. Finding references for "50% of tax Earners" paying only 3% of all income tax is no hard task to locate online. Google it. If the prices of these homes were reasonable you wouldn't have so many people kicked out of there homes. These banks that gave these loans designed the system so that mortgages would rise and rise until people could not afford it. People who started off paying 700/month were now paying (owing) 3000/month. And at the same time these banks were putting in securities that would bet against these people to be able to pay for their mortgages...

These securities were like gambling. If the house was foreclosed the banks would get money off the gamble. So basically the system was designed to get people in a house and then kick them out for profit. The Senate was trying to make it easier to kick people out of their home. Barrack Obama refused to sign it which means these people get to stay...for now. Making it easy to own and remain in a home you can't afford is not what started this mess.

The only ones who say that 'we need to pay this back" and "think about the children" are the same people who make money off this system. If we can't pay them back then they don't get paid. Either way we paid $186 billion in interest in 2009. by 2015 we will be paying over half a trillion every year JUST in interest. Today it spends over $14,000 per/capita. How come?

First advice to you is fire whoever is doing your taxes. Second the video says nothing about "tax rate". It does mention "Tax Earner" which is not the same thing at all. Finding references for "50% of tax Earners" paying only 3% of all income tax is no hard task to locate online. Google it. 24% Tax rate means 24% of your income went to Uncle Sam (it should of been 15% but oh well, hope you got a rebate). The bottom 50% Tax earners means 50% of the bottom income earners nation wide pay only 3% of the taxes collected by Uncle.

No, that's not the point. The point is there is no simple answer, for someone who is thoughtful. What do you define as winning? You have to weigh the reasons for invading, the cost of life, the cost of resources, and ultimately decide what you're hoping to achieve in the war.
Considering the reasons for invasion were fabricated and unfounded (WMDs and false ties to 9/11), and we've suffered thousands of casualties, it is apparent there is no winning.

technically and based on historical terms the "war" was over and won when the Iraqi Government was overthrown. It really, and everybody does it, is an after that fact point. The Insurgency in the aftermath was a new enemy and somehow Washington loves calling anything a war. History will record the end of the war in April 2003 but they fought an insurgency the years that followed. I think everyone should stop calling Iraq a war less we do the same for Germeny, Japan and Korea...

Obama began his campaign saying we will have the troops out of Iraq on a day certain. He has since changed his policy to that of Bush's plan. He said he was going to raise taxes on the "rich". He has since changed his mind on that. He constantly criticized Bush's Defense strategies. So what does he do? Keep Bushs Secretary of Defense.

Unless you haven't noticed, Robert Gates was not Bush's original Sec of Defense. Rumsfield was largely responsible for the problems in Iraq, ( war planning, supply issues, strategy, )
Gates has shown himself to be a far more competent defense secretary.

Please reference your findings about Active Military support for Paul. While it is TRUE that more veterans support Paul. I can not nor do I know very many active duty military that support Ron Paul.

Well the fact is, the military as a whole has given more donations to Ron Paul than anyone else. That should give a gauge on how the support in the military is going.

I know not one who wishes to follow a "cut and run" like aObama once did and Paul still does. You weren't going to vote democrat either way though. When's the last time you voted for a democrat? What sources of media do you watch? If it doesn't get reported in a news station it'll get reported in another like Fox News, and vice versa it doesn't get reported in Fox News some other station gets it. If these stations weren't biased they would be as profitable as C-span. That's the only way they make money, you act like your trapped though in watching biased networks.

In March 2008 Obama gave a speech commemorating the 42nd anniversary of the march on Selma, Alabama, Obama and mentions his parents got together because of the Selema March. At the time of this speech was 46 years old. No big Media deal. Palin says she can see Russia from Alaska and thats major news.
