id have to agree with scprepper some sorta bird "house" or something, also good decision no sense in letting it die in the trap which leads to another point i know in some states any sorta trap you set you need to have a metal tag like a dog tag with your name and number on it, why idk maybe if fish and game find it or to make sure u don't abandon the traps so anyone who finds it can let you know.
I personally would not have released the coon and feel my conscience would be clear of any moral obligation. I just feel it's not my business messing with another man's trap. JMHO.
I agree and I thought about that, however I was not going to let him stay in there and die either. If I would have seen signs of humans possibly coming soon to retrieve him, then I would have left him. Its just one of those moral/ethical delimas I suppose.

You did the right thing, any decent trapper would check traps daily. Whomever set that one was not a responsible trapper. Great Video.
