  • is it hard to play guitar and harmonica together? im gettin a harmonica soon and i've been playing guitar for 3 years and im pretty good

  • I think it must be. I have been doing it for so long,

I have no idea just how hard. You have to feel two or more musical lines at ones, plus handle the physical. On the other hand, it is so much fun to create the chordal harmonies around the harp. There is always an element of surprise.

  • at the beggining its a hit hard... but go for it budy... it's easier than it seemss... =) take care

  • Jon

Fantastic playing. Brilliant. What chords are you playing on guitar, they sound like nice substitutions to the normal chords.

    Also, are you tongue blocking?

  • Hello Jon! Thanks for teaching me how to play harmonica (about 12 or 15 years ago?) through the Klutz book and tape. I have passed it on to my 18 y.o. son who has developed a taste for blues... you da man!

  • Cool! Very nice tone for a rack! BTW - I love your books & tapes. Cool that I get a chance to see you "live" via YouTube.

    Jam On! -B²

  • Why is this guy's name so familiar? Does he own a harmonica forum?

    Nice playing!

  • Great videos, Jon. YouTube is a great medium for you to reach and teach future harmonica players. Do you think you could mention the harmonica key and position for each future video? Would make playing along a lot easier. Thanks!

  • Hi--I play a Special 20 by Hohner. It's a $26 instrument. Thanks for the kind remarks--Jon

  • Hello Jon, Great playing, Could you please tell me which type of Harmonica you are playing?..as now I want one..

  • I only just bought a harmonica (a 'C' note one for beginners) and totally want to be able to play like that! you are awsome! I'm guessing Jam Camp is in America which sucks because I won't be able to go. :(

  • Hey, many thanks. I love the immediate gratification of U-tube. I play it, you hear it. By the way, if you are in a rut, be sure to use my website and come to Jam Camp.

  • Woa cheers for that! I got your cassette when I was 7, I still play harmonica at 19 today! I'm kinda stuck in a rut but your rock and blues book is remedying that;)

    Good stuff!:D

  • Cool jam Jon, one of your cassettes was my first formal harmonica instruction!

  • Thanks for the nice words! Come to Jam Camp! Jon
