Funny thing is the vast majority of people who seem to comment on these videos have no clue about what being a Driver is actually like. Whatever level you are competing at, the desire to win and do well is something only that person can explain. When you are driving just as well as you used to but still not winning becuase of regulations it will be bloody fustrating, as well as unfair. So when Plato moans, it's not because he wants to moan, its because he's a racing driver, and a very good one.

@brandshatchrules, it's also a fact that from the moment a driver leaves the car, it takes a good ten minutes for the adrenaline level to drop. Most drivers I know get out of a car, with that little engine between their ears still running close to the limiter. I tend to ignore what they say, during that period. Heat of the moment...

Neal has proved time and time again to be a dirty driver even a very well respected driver like Collard has said as much. Learn a bit more about the sport and its cars and you may have a different point of view.

Well, given by the comments here, they are no worse than a good number of potty mouthed BTCC supporters.
Plato has always been cowardly dirty fighter on track and a hypocritical whinger off. Just the sort of creature that pushes peoples buttons. Neal became just as dirty on track for a while but seems to have mellowed this year. He gets my vote for being more of a team player unlike the prima donna Plato.

@LCarlH Both Honda driver's are pretty poor...Shedden's blatant punt at Boardman at Brands was ridiculous....and Neal enjoys contact so much he even attempted to drive into his own team mate...very much a team player. The whole grid like's contact (O'neill at snetterton and Rockingham for instance) it's not just Plato, Neal etc...so you are wrong here, they are both as bad as each other, and the whole grid for that matter...it's just what the BTCC is today.

Funny thing is the vast majority of people who seem to comment on these videos have no clue about what being a Driver is actually like. Whatever level you are competing at, the desire to win and do well is something only that person can explain. When you are driving just as well as you used to but still not winning becuase of regulations it will be bloody fustrating, as well as unfair. So when Plato moans, it's not because he wants to moan, its because he's a racing driver, and a very good one.

@LCarlH erm yeah of course thats why he whines, he's whinging about regulations and to get the turbo's restricted, its advantageous for everyone running a non-turbo car, the whole point of having a moan is to get one's opinion noticed...I dont deny he moans, I just see it from his side in the fact that he HAD to to get the turbo's restricted in order to perform well as a driver...the desire to win when competing in any sport is huge...and regulations are meant to balance the field, not open it!

He whines when he's losing, he whines when he's winning, he even whines about others complaining about him. He's a hypocrite and at the root of what's wrong with BTCC. Any dirty trick is remarked on as Platoesque. There is a reason for that. He makes for a very poor example of sportsmanship.

Mr Gow is the problem, Get rid of plato and it would have been Honda, Honda, Honda all season, with a bit of Jackson thrown in...just like F1, no thank you, the good drivers who want to win and make a fight of it are the ones you want. And they ALL make for a very bad example of sportsmanship...anyone looking at the BTCC for inspiration on how to drive/race properly is looking in the complete wrong place.

@brandshatchrules, it's also a fact that from the moment a driver leaves the car, it takes a good ten minutes for the adrenaline level to drop. Most drivers I know get out of a car, with that little engine between their ears still running close to the limiter. I tend to ignore what they say, during that period. Heat of the moment...
