  • "what am i supposed to do jane da navy!" hahaha funny old fat white guy humor!

  • best show ever on

  • mikes got a lot of nerve calling archie ignorant...if that isnt the pot calling the kettle black.

  • can someone explain the whole "join the navy thing" to me? I just don't understand what's so funny about it

  • HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I miss this old shit. This is real.

  • THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING.

    AWHRR.

  • @bdj010 You're right of course, but let me ask you something - If they had it your way, do you think it would've made good television, or that the show would've lasted as long as it did? The arguments were half of what made this show what it was (the wisecracks from both sides being the other half.)

    Think about that.

  • Nuclear launch detected. Archie Bunker is awesome. Democrats hate it when you compliment negros.....seriously wtf is wrong with the liberals...

  • Archie Bunker , the funniest man thats ever been on tv

  • TV has been so pussified over the least two decades. God forbid real opinions be expressed on television...

  • hahahaha lov it!!!

  • The Meathead should have joined the Navy...than maybe he'd really learn about the real world sooner and maybe he'd have cast off his radical liberal ideas.

  • lol at "negers" @ 2:19

  • 1947 lol

  • GEATEST SHOW TO EVER AIR ON TELEVISION

  • Oh boy! Kraut subtitles!!!

  • @Thrive7 It is Dutch subtitles. Nicht Deutch.

  • @Thrive7 I wonder what Archie would say to that?

  • @Thrive7 I think it's Finnish, actually.

  • @Thelookoutslookout Not Finnish.

  • At least the youth tucked in their shirts back then...even the hippies tucked in their shirts.

  • @bke274 Classic Line.

  • I use this line all the time, and no one ever knows what I'm talking about.

  • @pslugworth Which Line/

  • @sarnow76 "What am I supposed to do, join the navy?"

  • Loved the show, but Mike -- sometimes he got on my nerves with all his whining and bleeding heart boo-hoo sensitivities! It was not method acting like Mr. O'Connor played Archie -- Rob Reiner and his character are one and the same on and off screen

Rob Reiner must have, he bred non stop like a rabbit -- just look around today. Waaaahhhhh!

  • I miss Carol o'Conner and this entire show. Funny thing is, I am now 47 and as I get older I find myself becoming more and more like Archie, whereas when I was younger I was more like Meathead. Truly interesting how life works.

  • Ain't it just... I'm a good bit older than you, but I'm right there with you!

  • jOINING THE nAVY HELPED IMPROVE MY LIFE. iF YOU WANT TO GO ON VACATION, JOIN THE AIR FORCE.

  • The mom cracks me up

  • man gloria what a piece she was

  • Hey meathead, nice shirt to wear to meet your future father in law. No wonder he hated your guts... Nice beard too. How sweet was Gloria here?

  • @garylobo3 I Agree.

  • Sticks and stones. You are one dumb poloc!!!

  • They dont bruise easy. Hilirious!

  • One of my ALL-TIME favorite All-in-the-Family clips! I remember watching this as a kid with my Dad. I latter when on to "join the Navy" and served 20yrs...LOL!

  • Still funny. Thanx 4 posting.

  • The best clip ever is when archie met Jesus in the cellar hahaha

  • jungle herritage.great for night games hahahaha

  • "What am I supposed to do? JERN the navy?

  • 2:50 on is freaking funny!!!! "hold it - hold it what did i just hear, lol... what am i to do join the navy?" LOL LOL

  • as always there is a piece of truth wrapped up in Archie's comments, this time about the differences between blacks and white. In college I remember learning that one of the reasons slavery started was blacks could take the hot, humid weather better than whites. No one knew why. Later they found out it WAS genetic, unfortunately it was the same gene that causes Sickle Cell Anemia. Goes to show you can't ignore differences but should understand them.

  • haha we watched this during out 70's unit in history and I loled at that part... and I'm friggin' polish

  • im sorry i have nothin against Polish people and they really are some of the nicest people ive net but I had to lmao when archie said all that! haha

  • CLASSIC! "Stick's and stone's will break my bones, but you are one dumb Pollack". They would NEVER have the balls to make a show like this now days!

  • They would NEVER need to make a show like this today. They NEEDED a show like this way back then in 71(?) it had something to say. and what it had to say had little to do with the derogatory names that they used; that was just to get a point across. Today if they did a show like this it would be ALL about the derogatory names and would have NO point to make. Besides there already is a show like this on today with all the derogatory name calling BUT with absolutely no point to make.. Family guy

  • I agree with you to a point, but the impact it would have on today would be the same that it did thirty something years ago. This show was EXTREMELY controversial, because not everybody "Got It" and were outraged at the racial slur's and Archies' blatant bigotry. The show was making fun of that type of ignorance and Archie was to be "Laughed At" and not with. A show like this is as important now as it was back then!

  • and south park!

  • @justentime66 i would love to see a show like this now a days i feel we here in america need this kinda show now a days!!

  • @marxbroths now a days now..a... dayZE-to morrow-all right-knee-ew ark knee-ew jer SEE

I noticed the word for colored in German is neger....I think it's German.

  • lol

  • Heerlijk!

Komt dit uit de reeks die RTL Véronique begin jaren negentig uitzond op zondagmiddag? Het was mijn eerste kennismaking met "All in the Family".

  • this is my favorite episode ever........"because of their, whatdya call, jungle hertidge".....classic bunker

  • "Changed the whole complexion of the race." Hilarious!
